I love the 'by a hair' life or death moments with this crew. Appreciate the crew's steadfastness in the face of possible destruction. The dialogue and personalities remind me of my favorite Star Trek moments over the years. Kudos to you all for keeping me engaged!

Love the little allusions to "The Cage" and "Where No Man Has Gone Before", e.g., "Address intercraft." "System open." "Course computed and on the screen." And I love the discussion about how Leviathan is viewed in the Anglican/Episcopalian church and in Judaism.

Excellent choice I mean to be honest religious books like the Koran and the Holy bibal have never had the courage to even mention such a character of myth like the Laviathan heck let alone mentioning it in places like Hell.

Good episode! I especially enjoyed the suggestions that the Captain is a Christian and the First Officer is a Jew. I like Roddenberry but like many Sci Fi writers of his day , they were very eager to eliminate all religions in their "almost perfect futures." I was all for this in my younger agnostic years. Now that I'm older and happily a Christian, it doesn't seem as realistic that all of humanity would abandon their beliefs in an All Mighty Creator. Just throwing my two cents in.......Enjoyable as always. Live Long and Prosper 🖖

As a former Christian who reverted to Islam in my 30's, I also appreciated the suggestions. I strongly believe that, regardless of Roddenberry's predictions, we will always have various religions, though in the Trekverse, such things as first contact with extraterrestrial species will foment great changes -- and probable schisms -- within each of Earth's major religions.

@@mauwalker In my first post I used the word "suggested" , not fully knowing the religious beliefs of the characters. I personally hope that Erik is a Jew because it would make Mel Brooks happy! Lol Even if it ends up that he's not at least the characters were showing some respect toward the written word of two Abrahamic religions. You did a great job with everything. I don't always notice the little things because you add them appropriately. You make this Trek, no doubt in my mind. I have been a Star Trek fan since I was 4 years old. I love this series and always watch. I've watched two episodes of "Discovery" and both made me angry and a bit queasy. I've not watched "Picard" and I don't plan to. You're doing a fantastic job and I thank you!!!

@@mauwalker Also, from the name, my guess would be that Eric Drogo is of Norman decent. In southern Italy the village of my family, Bovino contains a Norman Castle. That Castle was commissioned by the Norman Knight Drago. I believe that's how his name is spelled. I will double check.

Excellent! Overall, I like the uniforms, but the black shirt is confusing. I love the set, and the engine room green screen is good. 🎆💥🎊 I remember discussing some particulars about the Bridge set construction with Randy before you left Birmingham. 🙂 So, what's with the black shirt? I assumed it represented "Starfleet Intelligence" but later you reference Section 31, & I thought they were interchangeable. I must have missed something.🙄 Please take the following as constructive criticism: The only thing that really bugs me about your series is the non-regulation men's hairstyles. Unless your ship is actually on a civilian mission for the United Earth Space Exploration Agency (UESEA), everyone should be wearing regulation Starfleet hairstyles. 😬 If you need a voice over or subspace message from the Birmingham area, contact me. 🖖

The black shirts are from Star Trek: The Search for Spock. Security officers wear black turtlenecks. Due to my wife's work, we've relocated to Lexington KY. The Deimos cast comes up from Tampa and Birmingham for shoots here. The hairstyles are a personal preference and while not in keeping with what we saw in the series, this is 40 years after TOS and 60 years before TNG. We posit that hairstyles are a little looser in Starfleet at this time, and this allows our actors to wear their hair as they wish, especially those who have other roles that they need longer hair for.

Victoria Avalon has been with us since March 2016. Her character was the chief engineer of the Deimos, and was promoted to Captain following the death of Captain Stone. Prior to that, she was involved with Starship Farragut as their transporter chief. She also appears as Doctor Farrell in Dreadnought Dominion since 2019.
