I had a massive heart attack that statistically only 12% of people survive (at LEVEL 60) ... mine was particularly bad, I am here today because throughout the entire event I went absolutely berserk ranting and raving about everything and at everyone.... believing that I needed to tell some truths and fix a few things about the world and to take charge of my care.... I channeled Mr. Lewis Black and I ranted and raved. If it weren't for his maniacal, rage-inducing inspirations and the adrenaline that poured upon my ailing, dying heart; I would be no more. I believe he contributed significantly to my survival... Thank you

There's a few things he says that are kind of dumb, like he briefly mentions the gender wage gap, which has been debunked. There's other things I wish he would have went in to, like the rise of fake food. People used to eat real food, but then came highly processed food. Or how boomers started many NGO's.

Omg. My boyfriend had the same experience with pot as you did. Over 15 years of not smoking, he too had a buddy that told him it was great stuff. After smoking and a few laughs with his friend he decided to go home. He said he made it to the car to drive home and 4 hours later was still sitting in his car, in his buddy's driveway, with his hands at 10 and 2 o'clock, staring out the windshield. I still laugh at his story, years afterwards and the 3 years since his passing. He never touched it again but loved his rye and coke.

Rachel, you're not anything specific. Boomer/GenXer, Millennial, Zoomer.... that's just a attempt to pigeonhole everyone, to lay out the battle lines for the stupid rhetoric we hear today, to develop marketing and political yammer. Don't let them bullshit you. You're not a boomer. You're not a GenXer. Those are not identities; they do not define you. So what are you? You're someone born in 1963. Period. You will have memories and experiences from that year forward. You will know a fair bit of what came before you (through your parents, through photos, music, etc.), you will know a fair bit of those who came along afterward, and you have learned how to cope with the times since your birth. Your perspective will change (has changed) as a natural consequence of aging, but that still doesn't make you part of this fictitious 'scale'.

All humans, in fact all vertebrate, have an endocannabinoid system which regulates the other systems in the body. If your body does not produce enough endocannabinoids, your endocannabinoid system malfunctions. The only natural supplement is cannabis. I am healthier in my 60s than I was in my youth, because I have a malfunctioning endocannabinoid system, and cannabis keeps my and the proper state of homeostasis so my body can function normally. I know without it I would have died by now. The eight pharmaceuticals required before cannabis left me bedridden and we're causing more problems. Cannabis should be legal to grow in every backyard on the planet.

Huh, I couldn't stand eggs before I smoked pot, after smoking some, I was later (when not high) able to eat, and if I'm working my ass off in construction, even enjoy several hard boiled eggs at a time. If I'm just eating them when I'm doing nothing, they still taste weird and have an odd texture, but as long as I have something to drink they're great. Not sure what it is about work that makes eggs better, or why after having smoked some pot, I found them eventually more edible. I also like eggy food now, which is quite different. The thing is, eggs are pretty healthy, loaded with vitamins and protein, so they're also good for weight management. Guess what? After I smoked that pot, I lost a lot of weight, I eventually went from ~350 down to ~170, I'm now back up a fair bit, but still much fitter than before, and can fit in 'normal' clothes (other than my very large feet haha, they didn't lose much weight), which is nice. I'm probably healthier in many ways at my present weight, even if I'm fatter, than when I was 170, but it was nice being a bean poll with a ribcage for awhile. Anyways, pot will change your life, quite possibly for the better, but try not to rush into it, and most of the real benefits seem to come during prolonged breaks, the benefits of prolonged use tail off in contrast. Also, today we have much better access to varieties with CBD, which can modulate the experience considerably for some, for me it helps avoid the uncomfortable aspects of highs, even with a relatively small amount, 2-5% CBD is quite a bit in actual practice, 0-.5 is more or less giving you no insultation from the THC and other cannabinoids. I'm still holding out hope for a 25% THC 5% CBD variety with a decent terpene profile, because you can't ignore terpenes either, the smells are a significant part of the buzz in my experience, this is why edibles hit so weird I wonder, you're not getting to smell the terpenes. At least I'm not too picky about the exact profile for terps, I've tried lots that I've liked at this point. As is, I just mix CBD varieties with THC post grind to get a better experience.

Many of my mom's boomer friends are pot heads now. I guess it's great for the aches and pains of aging. As with most things boomer, since the issue is affecting them more directly now, maybe they will actually try to change the laws in the prohibition states.
