Courage is such a rare quality, and in some ways it seems to me that is what sets art apart. Safety is not for the sane. Conformity is not for the creative. One must be bold enough to make the mark most are fearful to be reprimanded for. Thank you for your courage to share ❤

I continue to enjoy watching your channel. Some of your outdoor sessions inspired me to organize one of my rolling duffels and get out today. It was pretty positive for a first time plein aire. Thanks for your channel.

. . .oops! Sent too early😃 Catching up for lost time and learning from you and other amazing KZbin artists how to be loose and free. I am not yet there but I am determined to live long enough to achieve something like it. Thank you for the inspiration you give me! x

I loved watching you developing this painting and hearing the background sounds of the birds, wind and even thought aircraft overhead. Even the little flies were interested in what you were doing. In my career I was a graphic artist and had to be so precise and fernickety so now in my early 70's I am catching up for lost time

I am so pleased to be allowed to watch you create your response to the landscape. Especially moving to hear the lively wind sounds in the background. A lovely place. Thank you.

An important thing I learned from this: one can actually collage in the field. Who knew? I've learned at least six things from watching your channel so far. Thanks!

Thank you for sharing this experience with us. It is very helpful for me to see your “looseness”. That’s a struggle for me.

It makes a lot of sense, when you said that "if you knew what the outcome would be, then that would be pretty boring". I agree with that reasoning...but I do a lot of commissions so I know what my work is going to look like finished before I even start...I still manage to have fun tho. Haaa!! I love your freedom, abandon and " don't much care" attitude. That's freeing.

I need to switch back to acrylic. I used to use them, then switched to oils. My work has developed into a more abstract style and get a bit muddy at times. Acrylic should solve this!

Gorgeous!! Very near the area I was born. I am really enjoying watching your intuitive process... love the energy in your painting. Can I ask, which green are you using at 7.20 in? It's my kind of green, that... but can't make out the make or colour. Would love to know. Thanks again for making these videos. Learning such a lot, even though I've not actually tried this style yet! building up to it (I'm a surface pattern designer lol) All the best, Holly
