Dre was so close to massive label failure at this time that he bet it all on Em and it fucking landed. He dangerously went all in on that green 0 on the industry's roulette table. But... I bet more people know about Dre now days because of his headset and not his time in N.W.A, as a solo artist or as a producer for x amount of artist. I to am skeptic whenever some put "first time listening to" or "has never heard of etc" but you have to take their age into account. Dr dre is a legendary producer, but he always had his verses written by someone else. Ice cube wrote his verses in N.W.A. The chronic (1992) was written by Doc, Xhibit, Snoop dogg and some others. Jay-z wrote Still dre and The watcher on Chronic 2001, Eminem wrote forget about dre and many others were involved in some others song. Game also wrote some of his verses. Kendrick lamar wrote his verse for the recipe(Kendrick lamar song on his debut album Good kid Maad city). No disrespect to Dr dre in any way, shape or form. He is legend. He is arguably the best producer in the history of hip hop. If it was not for Dr Dre, we would not have Eminem Snoop dogg Ice cube NWA The game Kendrick lamar( Good kid Maad city was produced by Dre and he is also signed to Aftermath and Tde) 50 cent (him and Eminem exe. Produced Get rich or die trying, he produced the song In the club) He is a legend, without him West coast hip hop would not be what it is.

Wow- is Dre the OG of gangsta rap? Indeed he is, good sir. Love watching y’all find out about what us old folks already know! Great channel!! Do PROF- BARBREAKER - the craziest video out there. He hustles hard as Ethiopian Custodians

Hard to believe a lot of folk never heard of Dr. Dre spitting. He's a legendary producer but also was instrumental in the creation of gangsta rap.

I'm from Germany, to this day I remember the first day when Eminem (The way I am) made his way accross the ocean early 2000s and to a mix tape a friend made. I was like 13, learning English for maybe a year or two. And it hit me, I rarely understood any lyric, I think I have never listened to any HipHop... but damn my mind was blown I bought the album right aways and actually started to translate the lyrics from the CD cover with a dictionary. A year later I was best in English class and to this day I know any old Eminem song by heart
