lex love your series, great content in general .. it would be nice to see a breakdown for some BB tournaments at 7.5-22$ stakes... Good luck at the tables

I am into poker for 5 months now and read several books + watched a lot of videos but I think that’s one of the best I have watched so far. I really loved to hear your thoughts and see some hands which wouldn’t be in a highlight video otherwise. Please keep up these videos!

I play PLO most of the time, but these episodes are so great for anyone looking to improve and get started on low stakes poker, whenever I watch these I always have the tendencies to play more hold'em mtts.

Dude, the raise and not just shove when youre lower on blinds has changed my game and results. Im not getting caught as much and Im getting more value when I have stronger hands. That short stack vid you did earlier has been paying mega dividends as of late as I play a lot of turbos and hypers and blinds can get short quick. Even in normal paced tourneys. Im jamming still, but in the correct spots.

Yeah man great to hear. I myself underestimated the room you have with a shortstack to still play poker.

Great video lex, liked as usual I’m definitely playing better I’ve been just getting really unlucky when I’m deep in a tournament, loosing to kings when I have aces and running into aces when I have kings. But I don’t get too upset because I know my place is good, I make good folds, where my old self would usually call and then loose lol. All this to say ur the goat man keep it up💪

They would play practically the same. I'm applying concepts here that I use in higher stakes as well. I just want to do it on lower stakes because so many people always say 'this would never work on low stakes'. So by removing the complicated poker terms and playing it out here it shows that as a concept it still works

Just a while ago I lost a big hand in a tournament and was left with something like 2 bbs, pretty sure I would not make it into the money. Nevertheless, I waited a few hands to get even something decent, got a lucky all-in win and soon after got few more all-in wins and made it to the money with around 20 bbs. Got busted soon after though, but as always: Never give up. I still got to have great potential very late in the tournament, just because I did not push my last chips in with first two cards I was dealt with.

I love that you play at stakes that are on my level. while I love to watch people play $5K tournaments, what works there doesn't always work at small stakes. People play a lot different at different levels. It is a skill based thing, at $10/$20/$100 tournament you get casual players, they make mistakes better players would never make in the same situation.

Think it’s worth noting how important a min cash is for ROI, so being tight/time banking, leaving a chip behind etc would be great tips. Awesome video as usual

Lex, about the first hand with AKoff....what about if you didnt hit the flop? You do Cbet as well or is a ceck ceck on the flop?
@LexVeldhuisTV2 жыл бұрын
Depends on the flop mate. Huge difference between a Q72 flop or a 789 flop. The first one I bet, the second one I don't. Try to think about what flops are good for your opponent. If you raise off a shortstack they're shoving allmost all there broadway hands. So you can liberally cbet any dry board with a J+. You can cbet very samall as well
