Today i purchased this monitor, im having a problem with color calibration, my contrast and color options are unusable and i cant change values, i see those options working only once when i downloaded osd app, then everything gone back to what it was out of the box, i don’t understand how i fix this

You're right! Although to be fair.. Console gamers might be just as happy with a cheaper monitor... This monitor is priced quite higher than most due to its excellent panel and color reproduction.

Unfortunately I returned the monitor shortly after reviewing it.. Not because it was bad but because that's how it usually works for reviews.. After I'm done testing and reviewing it I have to return it. The thing is that back-light bleed is inevitable for LED panels beciae of the nature of how it works.. The question really is whether it's noticeable during use... And the answer for that is no.. Hope that helps!

Hey bro! Fantastic review, there's not a lot info on this monitor for thank you for that. At 3:13 you mentioned it has speakers, and I just want to confirm that that is the case, right? Checking this monitor on amazon shows a bunch of people saying it has no speakers. But on LG's site, and on your review, it says it does. I know monitor speakers are usually just okay, but it'd be nice to at least have them in a pinch. Can you confirm?

The HDR thing is the monitor... not Windows. Same issue on any Apple Mac, and also on PS4. White point is at around 7100K which is way too “blue”. Also, red colours look wrong.

Hope you read this. Did you do a image retention test on this monitor? Using the video from Rtings.com for example, how did it perform? Mine has image retention (pic: imgur.com/2K2eNmB ). Also, mine has a strange mark on both top sides (pic: imgur.com/OZaJBeW ). This is my second unit after RMA. I want to know if this is only me or something more widespread!

Thanks for the great review, would you recommend 27ul500 if you can buy it brand new on offer for almost half the price of ul850? ul500 (very similar/close specs display wise) for £210 and ul850 for £400 in the UK at the moment. Love ul950 but can't justify buying it. Looking for a decent monitor to use it with new M1 MacBook Pro 13 for video/photo editing. Also, for 60 hertz output on ul500 from MacBook pro 13 M1, would you use USB C to HDMI cable or USB C to display port (if available)? Cheers buddy :))

Hi Thanks for watching! Well it depends on how powerful your graphics card is and whether you'll be using this monitor for anything other than gaming. If you're using it solely for gaming then there are better value monitors out there to be honest.

Thanks for watching! Not sure why your keyboard isn't working.. is it just the keyboard or nothing connected to it works? I"d suggest checking with LG support. HDR can be switched on in the monitor settings

@@TechnoBabbleMedia Thnx, i've allready have contact with LG (not very helpfull by LG, he didn't know what I was talking about, and later on I get the answer that it stands in de manual, well that is what I also can say to the customers) But, the usb only works while I put my USB-C in my computer. And the HDR, the photo's were terrible. But thanx for your answer and stay healthy!

Thanks for watching! Not sure if u meant u are in the other extreme side of Singapore or that you are from. Singapore.. Cos of u are, So am I! 🤣 4k screens are great cos they allow u massive real estate. However yes... The flip side is sometime it doesn't play well with fonts. For text in terminal, I'm not entirely sure but in the windows display settings you can adjust it so I don't see a big issue. Hope this helps!

Well it's a great monitor for it no doubt. However i think it's a little overkill as the focus of this monitor is accurate colours... there are probably cheaper monitors that you can get that will give u just as good as an experience and when it comes to games.. you probably can't really tell a slight difference in colour accuracy.

Hi! Well I'm glad you found my channel :) Well if you mainly use it for photo or video editing I would go for the 32". I wish I had a 32" monitor when I edit my videos. 4K gives u amazing screen real estate for all your windows in your video editor. The problem is if your screen is too small, it's kinda hard to see.. so a 32" monitor would definitely help in my opinion. Just make sure it's a good IPS monitor cos colour accuracy is super important for you!

Thank you! Well it's not ideal for gaming in the sense that it's more purposefully built for colour sensitive work and consumption. For the money you pay for this you don't get g sync or free sync so it's not really a value buy for gong but you can definitely still game on it.
