I don't get what LG's doing. Here in Europe, we won't have the quad DAC, we won't have wireless charging, we won't have more than 32gb of internal storage. But we'll sure have the 749€ price tag ! All of this is a complete deal breaker, and that should definitely be emphasized in every review of the device. This is unacceptable.

Using mate 9 for 3 months now.... it's a beast that just doesn't slow down.. was forced to choose it replacing my note 7 and I'm just not believing it's performance. Huawei performance is really on another level.

Fair Human already done....and using nova launcher so it's just insane. However once a note user always note user.... will replace it with the note 8 but I know for a fact nothing except the OnePlus is coming close to Huaweis kirin chipset performance in the Android world anytime soon.

I think nowadays the smartphone dilemmas people will face will involve less of "is Phone X better than Phone Y?" and will have more to do with the nuances within each individual phone. Like, if you are a typical Sunday stroller walking into a shop, any smartphone will be a win, given our strides in ensuring a certain level of reliability and performance is provided by any smartphone, but now what will differentiate between these smartphones will be the nature of the philosophies each smartphone manufacturer adopts. Having said that, I like how you have evolved from the "is this phone good or bad" review technique to the "if you are part of Audience X, will this phone appeal to you?" which is a positive trend I also notice among other notable reveiwers, so kudos to you!! :)

We maybe closer to that point ...... in some instances , but ........... you still have to do your homework , the word flagship gets bandied about very ,very , very easily these days , but in actual fact a lot of these " Flagships " are mid range pretenders , and once you scrape off the pretty veneer on the outside of some of these devices , when you analyze them in detail , they are no where near what they are cooked up to be . .

How else is he supposed to compare it? It's not like users will manually switch their resolution to 1080P while watching videos, comparing it to the P10 Plus results are probably gonna be similar since it has a bigger battery, Huaweis have superb battery life and efficient SOCs.

I'm an iPhone user but if I had to choose between the two I would choose the P10. I really liked the depth of field in the photos using the dual cameras (they seemed far superior than those I take with my 7 plus which are processed by software) and battery life seems to be better. Those are features that seem more practical at least for me in my everyday life rather than waterproofing and wireless charging.

Only talking about my previous experience with a previous model, I had the g2 - excellent, G3- a friend had the same experience as I had with the g4, so after owning 2 flagship models and having real and empyric information about a third one, I concluded. Also, having a p9 LITE with 2gb ram, that works better than a g4, for my usage, and having close experience with two Xiaomi redmi note 4, one o which I own and use daily, and a Xiaomi redmi 4 pro I have enough to state, that LG is failing to produce a quality price/performance product, as it once has(G2). Is it enough to make that claim or the g6? Individually no, but I found that spending that much money on a phone to have a feature that is obsolete in a year, is pointless. I've found more joy not to waste money on a phone that is going to be used in the same manner as a 300$ phone. The fact is that every phone you buy, you lose 30-40% within 6 months. And if it does not sell good globally, you loose more.

The reason I'm answering like that is because I apsolutely hate people which don't give a reason why they don't like a phone and why they like some othet phone alot more. Let me give you an example: I don't like the iPhone, why? Well in my opinion the ammount of stuff you get on the iphone is not enough for the money. No headphone jack, no wireless charging, only 3gb of ram in the 7 plus... So couldn't he just type out why he likes the p10 alot more? Maby I want to buy one of these phones, so I'm reading comments to see peoples opinions on the pros and cons of these phones. Just saying you like the p10 more than the g6 does't help me, it doesn't help anyone tbh.

you should check your file manager for a folder called "btsnoop" it's actually a Bluetooth log files folder which keeps up heaped up in Android nougat. I had some around 5.8 GB of waste log files deleted

Naturally the LGG6 wins. It's a more elegant refined phone. A fairer comparator would be the Galaxy S8/8+ to see how they perform. Samsung has the slight edge on the Snapdragon 835 processor. Camera and Audio would be great to review!

Personally I prefer P10's more classic look. The glossy finish of G6 attracts more dirt and finger prints. Plus P10 has green and blue! Inside, P10 is a beast that G6 can't compete. If you like playing games, P10 is the way to go.

@juan - great comparison, LG stepped up their game; I think once the software is finalized it is going to be one of the best phones of 2017. Also I would prefer an LG just for the audio, camera and not to mention the display. I am not sure if Samsung will implement the palm rejection for its curved display in a way thats not intrusive when operating. What are your thoughts on it? One suggestion: Could you guys clean up your playlists on the channel; its pretty cluttered and hard to find stuff. :)

processor for sure like the p10, OLED for sure but since it is only a fragile edge display that can be a con, iris scanner, not really needed but cool, faster focusing, but no wide angle, looks can go either way, possibly battery life, better marketing for sure. Probably equal audio by akg/harman/jbl, who they just bought. price should be close, lg should be cheaper because of 32GB, no quad dac, and no 64 base model, but we will have to wait to see how greedy they are as an underdog, which should not be greedy at all.

JCV, Your audio background makes you perfect guy to ask this question: WHERE'S MY DAC?!? Ok, no yelling. Your explanation of phone audio was awesome. Still, marketing aside, is there a good practical, technical EXCUSE for LG trading the DAC/AMP for ... wireless charging? I'll plug my phone in HAPPILY for DAC! ...I mean, "...happily for DAC." I play music, AND binaural beats on a wired headset. I NEEEEEEEED/really want DAC. Ok, enough whining.

P10 is a 2016 competition phone that copies the iphone design blatantly. The LG is 2017 design phone. You are also incorrect to say the 16nm kirin 960 won't face any competition until 2017. 2017 will have 10nm socs and the older current 14nm exynos 8890 scores the same. LG G6 easy win

rick starburst so you want to tell me that iPhone didn't copy Huawei with dual camera ?? and you want to tell me that iPhone didn't suck doing that by making the camera sticking out stupidly?? here we go Huawei shows you how its done correctly and what about the back finger print on the LG should I remind you started it before LG followed ??....and I'm sorry according to the leaked benchmark of the SD 835 the krin 960 scored higher and if not higher its equal to it so there's no compaction.

According to a wide range of benchmarks the 960 loses out in all graphics tests and are very similar in score in cpu tests. dual camera lol. Dual camera is still not a primetime feature and i would anyways have a wide angle lens like lgs. If you think the p10 isn't an iphone design clone with even the antenna design you are just a huawei fanboy. Also the iphone uses dual camera in a smarter way. Huawei did it as a selling gimmick and still is trivial with "deeper blacks"

Yes I'm a lg fanboy because I don't have an LG phone. Just admit you are a huawei fanboy defending them with your life. Dual camera have been tried long before by htc and even LG optimus 3d. Just admit the p10 is a 2016 competition phone. The kirin 960 scores basically the same in cpu and gets destroyed in graphics because hauwei cheapened out on the amount of graphics cores. Fingerprint ? Lol did your beloved huawei create fingerprint readers? Half of your arguments don't even make sense or are even true.

rick starburst not even gonna waste my time with stupid low mind like you ...watching a review and he clearly said the kirin will not face compaction until the next SD 835 yet Mr smart trying to be smart and saying its scoring same how stupid you really are ?? in Antutu 3D P10 scored around 43000 while SD 821 score around 23xxx to 25xxx and scoring same in CPU ?? I think you need glasses because SD821 will never touch those geekbench scores .....you want to compare it to exynos 8890 ?? do you even know that the exynos 8890 use Mali 880?? and Kirin 960 use Mali G71 which is faster ?? and even with CPU score its not the same you really need to get your eyes chick again as you're clearly avoiding the facts.

Trying to decide between these two phones currently as they're the best my carrier has to offer & I have to say that the LG G6 is becoming a much more feature rich device than the p10. The P10 is a sheer beast performance wise but the more Ive researched the G6 just seems to have a lot more going on for it. Your video has helped me in deciding. Cheers.

Well, I am thinking to replace my aging Honor-8 for the LG G6, Always a year behind in order to obtain best value, I've had my H8 for over a year, even tho it's an 016 phone, I love it and never really gave me any trouble. The P10 is somewhat similar to the H8 in features and performance, not to mention a great camera, Unfortunately P10s are still selling here for over $700- on the other hand last year's G6 is now avail for a price of a mid-ranger phone. I am not about to lose my NFC and USB-C for a low end phone, although the Huawei Mate SE is a tempting choice. I am rather attracted to the versatility and 18.9 screen of the LG. Would you stick to your H8 or upgrade to the G6?
