TechnoBuffalo nope, I'm not a fan of the G6. I owned multiple LG phones in the past, and I completely refuse to own another. But the LG G6 benchmarks lower than an iPhone 7 and on par with iPhone 6S. Not terrible until you realize a few things, one is even budget flagship phones like one plus manages better scores and that LG phones always slow down much much worse than Samsung phones. Both are annoying but LG is special In How bad it gets after a year or two. The display on the LG G6 and S8 are both same aspect ratios (atleast on paper) but I find the infinity display on S8 is vastly more immersive.. G6 isn't bad but it's about as immersive and my iPhone 7 Plus.. so could be better but my S8 it's much easier to immerse self into the content. Only thing I'm not a fan of with the Galaxy S8 as of right now is that it feels easy to drop. It feels like iPhone 6/7 in that no great way to hold it.. edges are rounded a lot and bleed into each other. That being said I'm not afraid of it not being durable it actually feels as solid as my iPhone 7 not loose or too light and feels solid and dense..

Zawaprz Apple is only ahead in terms of phones right now. Their computer game is ass. I'd bite the bullet on warranty problems with a xiaomi notebook pro before I'd get a new MacBook pro. Price to performance just isn't worth it with their computers. They aren't ahead in any aspect of hardware, they're just good at software integration and build quality.

I upgraded to the G6 from my G4 and I couldn't be happier. I looked up and tried both in store and I loved the G6 more the fingerprint scanner on the S8 is kind weird but at the end of the day it is all personal preference There is no LOSER HERE

hey so here is my suggestion I would go with the G6 because it has a faster processor and the camera on the G6 also allows for wide angle shots where the V10 does not. Another nice feature that the V10 does not have is water resistance which nobody ever plans on dropping there phone in water but if you do your safe with the G6. Also keep in mind that the G6 uses Android 7.0 Nouget while the V10 still has Android 6.0 Marshmellow. At the end of the day its all personal preference like I said in the previous comment all I hope is that the info I gave you helped you in making your decision. Edwin San Yes, the bootloop was horrible! I had also a LG G4 bootlooped after 6 months of use, I got rid of it and ex-changed for a LG V10. After 6 months it developed the same problem. I complained so harshly to LG, because these aren't cheap smartphones. They fixed my phone and extended the warranty plus 24 months. I love the main camera performance. Nothing reaches the same level of detail in videos and photos. I also like the screen picture quality and the user interface, as you said. I find the screen double tap waking/sleeping knock code useful, for example.

Brandon P I have a question for you that it seems no one will answer. Does your G6 ever have the problem of screen retention? Aka when you use the phone alot, does it leave markings or lines of preciously opened apps or pages on the screen? For example if I was on KZbin for too long, and then I close the app and go to Facebook, I still see the comment section of KZbin burned into the screen. It eventually goes away but it's a very annoying problem I deal with on my G5. Please let me know

I totally get it a phone is a personal choice and really if you like it, its the right choice. That being said having tried both I went with the s8+ and hope it fits me well but I do agree the reviews have been very outright with the exception of the camera and no phone will ever be for everyone even though the iPhone tries and kinda just half does everything. I'm rocking the G6 after trying out the S8+. I did not like the curved screen, and I really didn't like the fact that there is no case out there that protects those delicate curved edges. I don't throw my phone around, but it has been known to fall out of my bag. Also, I lost my LG G5 to water, so I'm really happy that the G6 has the water resistant feature. I love my G6!

I've been happy with the battery life so far. I don't have to charge during the day unless I have really heavy use (watching Netflix for hours, etc.) and the standby battery consumption is almost nothing. If I charge and don't use the phone once it's off the charger, it stays at 100% for hours. I find it's better battery life than my LG G5 for sure.

Mike Hamilton Samsung is really becoming Apple right now...Have an S6 Edge Plus and I have to say it runs not so well like I expected it would run even in 2 Years. I think they just got overhyped with the S6 and from there they started to pay the customers so much for a phone, that you can maybe use for a year. The Specs can be so Top of the notch, but in 2 years Android will just destroy the S8, like it did on every Samsung phone ever launched. Sad

Another awesome review Dave! I live in Taiwan and the G6 just became available. It would be at my doorstep tomorrow if LG hadn't priced it exactly the same as the S8! IMO the right price for its specs would be $500 ~ $550, I really love that wide angle lens and we get the Quad DAC version which I'd take over the wireless charging any day. Well, for the same price I'll go for the S8+! pre-ordered it and will be released 4/28. We get extra USD140 to buy accessories for pre-ordering so worth the wait.

Just take your pictures in the mirror. Or flip the phone around you can set the buttons on the side to take pictures I believe. Main camera absolutely destroys the G6 camera. The display is larger and much better as well slightly higher res HDR10 Dolby vision, better speaker and is much faster. US versions of the G4 are still stuck on slow laggy android 6.0, CPU and GPU are far better as well as battery life. Just face it it's time to upgrade to the G6 the G4 is just simply outdated and a POS now that isn't going to get any updates now.

As an iPhone 7 Plus user, if I had to pick an Android phone right now after the Pixel went to the "outdated" category, I would pick the G6 too. While the S8 is without a question the nicer looking phone, historically LG provides faster updates and better software experience, especially over time. Honestly, even the fingerprint scanner position just kills the S8 for me, as I think it's one of the most important usability feature on a phone.

I just got my G6 this week from T-Mobile and it's pretty good. I kinda didn't like the camera and screen since I'm so used to the saturation of my Galaxy s7's AMOLED screen but after a few days, I started liking the wide angle camera and the regular one is low-key underrated because I've got some pretty nice shots out of it. I also prefer my G6s curved yet flat screen to the s7's normal square screen. 18:9 looks cool with videos and other media too. And to think about that the G6 is now hitting budget prices for a brand new 2017 phone... I got this phone for $360 bucks.. Smh...This phone is one of the most underrated of 2017 maybe of all time.

I've had the lg g6. It was one ofnthe worst phones I've ever owned.. I've owned the lg g3 and g5, Samsung note 8 and s9. Lg g6 camera sucks like hell ESPECIALLY the selfie camera, the LG G5 had a far more super front and back cam (including the wide angle camera) the lg g6 could not handle mobile games in HD. Screen burn on the G6 was horrible. As horrible as the lg g5.
