The OnePlus 3T did an amazing job at making almost every flagship look bad in 2016, but the question is if it still has enough to battle all the new trends of 2017? This is our LG G6 vs OnePlus 3T comparison.
This comparison is actually more complicated than you'd think. On each hand we hold two devices that we'd highly recommend, and where this video is really more a showcase of the reasons why you should pick on or the other.
Visually I'll admit I'm a big fan of both. Whether you prefer the solid aluminum build of the OnePlus 3T or the glass and metal approach of the LG G6, both devices are elegant, sturdy, and feel great in the hand. About the only advantage I'd give LG is the fact that it has IP68 water and dust resistance vs non on the 3T.

These are two of the phones I'm considering buying. Oneplus 3T just jumped ahead after this comparison. Literally better specs across the board for a much cheaper price. Yes the screen is lower resolution, but it's AMOLED compares to IPS. 1080p is high resolution enough. Plus it's running the absolute latest from Google and OnePlus has become the 2nd best right behind Google themselves when it comes to releasing updates. I know I sound like a fanboy, but I'm not. I've never owned a OnePlus phone before, but I've been keeping an eye on them since the OnePlus 3 came out and am very impressed with how they do things.

since you gave your point for 3T, I'll give points to LG 1. Never underestimate the power of LG IPS (now with hdr supported) 2. waterproof. self explanatory 3. camera. LG is VERY GOOD in that aspect. 4. LG have been consistently update to the latest android firmware. 2 of its last devices were the 1st device to update its android version with custom skin 5. that screen is a glimpse into the future. Im too poor to buy either (now using mi5s), but this will give you what is op3T missing since you're considering both.

Given that for me the camera and water resistance are key features i do not want to compromise on i'd probably pick the G6. But it is indeed a matter of preference, no clear victor. There is also the factor that i'd be able to find good local deals on the G6 (whenever it finally launches in Bulgaria) whereas i'd have to pay VAT for the 3T, so really they'd cost roughly the same price for me.

I would say OnePlus 3T is great for people that can't afford an expensive phone, plus the battery really does last the whole day. I have the OnePlus 3T and everything about it is just amazing. No lag at all. LG G6 is great if you have money for it. But the screen burns more power due to a higher screen resolution.

For all of those people considering the G6, just wait for the OnePlus 4/5 this summer. It will be both cheaper and more refined than the G6 with more RAM, more ROM, a better processor, better software, a competitive camera and possible DayDream VR certification, should OnePlus improve their screens and sensors. No way to know for sure whether it will be water resistant or have wireless charging, but I hardly would consider those two things must have features if you managed to own and safely use a smartphone over the last 10 years.

Please don't forget that the ratio of the screen on the 3T meals that the screen are actually pretty much the same size in area.. and you have hardware buttons that don't take up screen real estate !

If you are looking tor an Android that can be rooted with little to no effort, the 3T is the way to go. And luckily if you have a rooted OnePlus 3T and are an audiophile that really wants the best out of your music through your headset, I'd recommend an application known as Viper4Android. It's one of the most feature packed equalizers out there, but unfortunately it cannot work without root. There are some packages of Viper4Android that even include Dolby Atmos with it So you wouldn't have to buy an extra smartphone such as the ZTE ZMAX in order to get it.

I think the display, water resistance, and camera make the G6 superior to the 3t and well worth the higher price tag. Not to mention the G6 supports wireless charging, which is really convenient.

These days it's really hard to say one phone is better than the other. The only thing which stops me from getting these gorgeous new phones is the size. I think Jaime really prefers OnePlus 3T for its value for money but he's being too diplomatic. The "there is no clear winner" phrase makes me really appreciate more other reviewers who speak their mind. Whenever you compare two great products (from shoes to cars) almost always one of them is even better overall - marginally at least. Jaime seems like a great guy who knows his stuff, but i expect from a reviewer to say he's opinion, not act like the United Nations!

I have to admit I'm not a fan of this new trend with phones having glass backs and metal bodies and all that. I bought the G6 and it was like holding a wet bar of soap (I HATE using cases). It's like plastic is a bad word but I love having the grip I do on my V10 (and my old G4 and G3 before that). And the ability to swap batteries is much more important to me than a waterproof phone.
