I just bought the 86". Local dimming absolutely sucks! I had to turn it off as I couldn't stand the blooming. Colors and sharpness are good to my eye. WebOS is not bad. My own 4k content looks amazing on such a huge tv. Overall I'm satisfied but was hoping for a better bang for my money

i guess im not a techy because after buying one of these yesterday after extensive talking to a lady at best buy who was way more knowledgeable about anything i threw at her convinced me of this tv over the hi-sense as after alot of research found hisense to give most bang for your buck and not break the bank. She said only issue with hisense is they get a lot returned due to poor screen issues and a cheaper slow processor built in. I was looking for a affordable tv but with 120hrtz 2.1 hdmi ports and some future proofing and this lg has it all. she convinced me and i bought it. After unboxing it and setting it up i must say this tv looks and runs INCREDIBLE. Even coming from a sony bravia with triluminous display. Wife liked it so much we went out last night and bought another for her girl cave to replace a samsung 4k tv only a year old! The colors look deep n rich but real life not oversaturated like alot of the tvs try to look to wow you. Has plenty of ports and lots of rich features to give u a awesome picture. hooking up my xbox series x today and im expecting greatness.....the issue with these type of videos that yes are informing but not really ment for real world people like myself that after work want a great tv and dont care about the tiny little details that most wont even notice. My buddy has a expensive samsung and the OVER BRIGHTNESS and pixelation is TERRIBLE and he paid more! Lady said before working at best buy she didnt realize how much marketing gimmicks their are with tvs and how the oversaturation trick and brightness trick fools many buyers. She also mentioned to me how some of these super bright tvs make her dizzy which funny she said that because me and wife got that effect from my buddys samsung after watching for like 30min. This lg has real colors that look detailed and crisp but not the over saturation u cld see comparing this tv to other more expensive models in store. id highly recommend this 21 model lg...

I agree..as long as you don't watch in complete darkness, the contrast is fine and we like that the colors seem more natural than Samsung and Sony. We have 2016 lg uh8500 that looks much nicer than our Sony 65 x900h, which we gave away due to annoying bugs..would power off intermittently and terrible reflections during daytime viewing. I guess beauty is still in the eye of the beholder!

Question: I had to return my 2020 LG Nano85 recently, because it hit burn in on one side. They couldn’t fix it, so I got a refund. I’m looking for another LG at a good price and the 2020 Lg Nano90 from that year is on sale about everywhere. Would you recommend that older model, or the newer 2021?

@@samuraigundam0079 get the nanocell 2021 model the 55" is on sale best buy for 799...great price and great TV so far I like it alot. It does have some blooming I notice in a dark room but it doesn't bother me at all and it's only during real bright title screens with bright letters. Overall the picture is beautiful and blacks r very black in shows and games ect and has the tech for many years for future proofing. I also heard the nano90 21 model has been upgraded for any past issues the 85 and 20 model had. I'd highly suggest thus tv and im just a normal gamer dude who has no skin in the game like some kf these KZbinrs and reviewers. Also best buy has the 65" nano cell for 999.....so great prices on both 65 and 55 at 999 and 799

@@tedrik1346 yea I sold a 2016 Sony Bravia with triluminous display because of the bugs to. The picture was BEAUTIFUL but man the ui and user experience was utter crap from day one. I dealt with it for 5 years and ended up not even having it connect to internet because when it did the lag and bs I had to go thru to get anything to work quick and responsive would infuriate me. Screen share worked half the time and so on n so forth. Hated get rid of it as the picture was truly pretty but user experienced killed it for me and if I can't use all features of the smart tv then wth!! Much happier with this LG and the smart features actually work!! No longer using up my Xbox series x life to use as a video hub now can actually use my smart tv for that and leave xbox to gaming!

I had for several months LG 49nano863na and it was a big mistake and waste of money... I'll never buy or suggest a LCD IPS based TV anymore. Now I'm really enjoying my Sony XH90 that compared to my previous LG is like day and night
@naththoau

Yep I am so glad I chose X900H over for the fact of how mediocre is Nano TV is. Plus nano is very expensive in Australia which is a real rip off version over such the beast Sony I bought was the best I have ever had and I wouldn't mind about VA with narrow viewing angle, I am still impressed!
@BigBoss87KR
@BigBoss87KR 3 жыл бұрын
@@naththoau Yes I confirm, maybe the viewing angle is not the best out there... But I noticed a drop of contrast and black only at extreme angle view. Here LG despite IPS panel was even worser so such a shame for LG... It seems that they produce poor LCD panel in order to persuade you to buy their OLED panel which are stunning and impressive but still expensive and not as bright as LCD VA panels.

You don't buy tv below 55" they are always have downgrade hardware. All brand doing that
@BigBoss87KR
@BigBoss87KR 3 жыл бұрын
@@HellGatyr the main problem with LG LCD TV is IPS panel which leads to low contrast ratio, poor black and poor brightness, they also have the most bad FALD system out there, so bad that better keep it disabled otherwise you'll see white columns moving from left to right and viceversa during dark scenes. So in a few words probably my worst experience about buying a new television, my old FULL HD Samsung ES8000 was almost 10 years older and still stunning images and excellent contrast and black.

You guys posted settings under the post-calibration part of testing. Do we need to have the TV calibrated to get a picture quality that is according to your rating? Or can we just use the settings you prescribe and get something close? I don’t want to be stuck with the pre-calibration picture quality, because it is very poor on this set. Ratings! You people wouldn't know a good TV if it hit you in the head! First you people gave the Hisense U8G a better rating than the 2020 Nano90. Which is ridiculous especially since the U8G didn't upconvert 1080p to 4k amd it didn't even upconvert SD to HD. And never mind the fact the that every Hisense U8G that was sold at my local Best Buy in Holyoke, Ma was returned because they were junk. Also you people gave Vizio M series a better rating than the Nano90 even though the Vizio M series is a 60hz panel and the Nano90 is a 120hz panel. And let's not forget the fact that Vizio firmware has alot of bugs and numerous people I know had to get their Vizios exchanged because the onboard app would die after a while. My Nano90 has never had a problem and looks great. And I'm beginning to think you people are not objective at all.

You guys hate anything thats not an OLED. From LG. What i find interesting in my experience I Have a 2018 LG OLED B8. Which i agree has an immaculate PQ and sound. But it isn't flawless and they aren't that Bright. That was $1800 when i purchased it and it has 15000 hours on it and really has been reliable. Ive since put it in my bedroom and replaced my living room TV with Hisense 55 inch H8G 2020 model. Ive had it for 14 months now and with a cost of $700. Now its had a few bugs mostly adroid tv portion just freezing or slow loading. And randomly the tv on occasion with shut itself off for no reason . Happened about 6 times in the past 5 months. So while the PQ is very close to that LG OLED i can tell this is not a quality tv reliable tv. Im gonna guess it probably has somewhere around 5000 hours at most. While rtings seems to be all over these Hisense tvs im not sure they are actually that reliable. If this makes it 15000 hours i will be impressed but something tells me no way. What i think is depressing is Ive seen those Sony X85j in action and I feel that has a much better picture and blacks than this Hisense of mine and yous rate it kinda low. Im really curious why you push TCL trash and Hisense so far where they really rank. X90j IMO blows away that U8G and honestly I felt Even the U7G was better than the U8G in PQ.

From what I understand, there is the possibility of some audio lag with optical. You’d be better off using the ARC with a high speed 2.1 cable. (Please anyone correct me if I’m wrong, I don’t mind any knowledge on this as well, lol)

I have the 2020 model of the nano90..I know they aren't as great as the oleds of course, but i wanted a 65" tv, and this was all i could afford..Anyway, something i JUST now noticed when powering on this tv was the standbye light flashing 3 times before the picture comes on.. The tv performs fine, but I just now noticed that the light does that..I know its crazy, considering I've had this tv for 2 years now almost..anyway, I have tried finding anything I can online regarding this question, but I cant anywhere. All I can find are articles about a constant fl ashing red light and the tv not powering on at all.. Mine is working, it's just the the red standby light flashes 3 times before displaying the picture..The LG logo with the gray. Background comes up while its flashing, and as soon as the regular picture comes up, the standby light goes off.. I had always sworn the red standbye light just went off totally as soon as I powered it on, but I never really paid enough attention until I saw it flashing last night..If anywone has an answer for this, please let me know..Thanks!
