LG V60 ThinQ 5G UW - Full Review

Personally, this device is the most underrated phone of the year. If I am not mistaken this video is the only one on KZbin reviewing the Verizon version. I have it on T-Mobile (since back then Sprint didn't have it yet) and it runs circles over other higher priced offerings. Two screens (when you want it), long lasting battery, stylus pen support, quad dac, headphone jack, storage card, 5G, excellent manual camera controls. The list goes on. Thickness and weight are not a concern since most folks put their phones in a case anyway, but the main cons are too much glass. Especially on the front dual attachment. Overall, I am loving the device. It has replaced my Samsung Note 10+ as my daily driver. Looking forward to the upcoming dual case review video.

LG has gone above and beyond to clear the bootlooping issues. 2 year warranty + better durability + bargain deals. Great review, had no idea you made videos. If I pick up an LG V60 today from T-Mobile, it's your fault lol.

In Canada, 5g is fully implemented. I got my v60 2 months ago and I have mid 6 everywhere. My download is never less than 550 Mbps and 60 Mbps upload. As far as mm wave they're mostly started in bigger cities and gradually implementing more nodes outwards.

That's pretty nice, here sub 6 is somewhat common to find and mm wave is practically impossible.

@@UnnamedReviewGuy This is true. That is the reason why I didn't go for the Verizon version. Yes the Verizon high speeds are nice, but unless you are in direct line of sight of the tower with no obstruction, it falls back to 4G. Although they are adding more macro cells but they really need to add alot of them to avoid dropouts.

I’m an IPhone user but love the dual screen function. Should I get it now, or wait for IPhone to implement this feature? I’ve had Androids in the past.

Depends on how you feel about switching back to Android, the device is certainly not a bad one. Some rumors at least from Jon Prosser have pointed to Apple making a dual screen device and while Jon is usually pretty correct one may not be sure. I would have to assume the attention is more on phones with Foldable displays in Cupertino. One recommendation I would make is waiting a few months for a better price if that is an option for you. 😁

There are alot of folks that dismiss LG on past issues and any new unique feature they do as a gimmick, but if Jon Prossers' article is any indication, Apple will do a similar form factor device. Now watch the tech and consumer world praise it to no end, but when LG did it, it was a gimmick. Things that make you go hmmmm.

MY LGG4 still works to this day. They fixed the dreaded bootloop on the later serial numbers on that phone. The LG G4 was the main phone that had bootloop issues. The fact it's still even mentioned today is a fucking joke. I have 4 LG phones and not one single phone is dead to this day. My LG VU even still works. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pKbJlGiifbyriK8

Still pretty good, two comments though don't buy it if you have to pay full price and note that LG has shut down their mobile department so while they say the phone will be supported for a few years it's possible it won't get new software updates at anytime.

The UW verison is specifically for Verizon... even more specifically for Verizon's "Ultra Wideband" 5G (millimeter wave) network.

Looks like to me that the website selling the second screen have given an incorrect description!

This is the Verizon varient? It has the 5g Ultra wide band. But mine won't show them UW icon when connected to the 5g UW network. I know this because my samsung s21 will display UW in the same network location

Sadly both of those features tend to be budget phone features now, or even completely gone in some cases. The V60 does support micro SD cards though

Removable battery means no water resistance. That's why you won't see it again for flagship phones. V60 has sdxc card capability up to 2TB. Yet another great reason to get it.

This is actually a common misconception. Phone can both be water resistant and have a removable battery. In fact the Galaxy S5 did have iP67 water resistance and a removable battery. I'd argued it was removed more in favor of glass backs and thin designs.

Just wondering because seems there are many ways to get around running out of juice,second phone,power banks, etc...
