These older Hondas have a special place in my heart. My first brand new car back in the day was a Tahitian green pearl ED7.

I hear you! My first brand new car was an '84 Prelude purchased in December 1983. I still haven't owned a car with better steering feel.

That's exactly my car now! I recently used it in a gag in one of my videos, too, because one of my best friends has a black ED7, so we made it look like I had changed the colour of his car. Hahahaha. Nothing is as analogue and beautifully direct, as the experience of driving an EF car. God's own chariot.
@hxhdfjifzirstc8942 жыл бұрын
I've had a couple of Honda hatchbacks with swapped engines. The '91 Si hatchback was my favorite of all of them. Same color. Mine had 'automatic' motorized seatbelts that would move out of the way, down the top of the door, towards the door mirrors. You could just leave the lap seatbelt 'snapped in' near the emergency brake all the time, if you wanted. I guess this kept the door panels from being damaged. Anybody who has never driven a 88-91 hatchback or CRX should make a point of doing it. Manual transmission is a must. The perfect gokart for driving to work or cruising around, at up to 40+ MPG depending on how you drive. Currently, I have a '90 Si hatchback with a D15 swapped, for maximum fuel economy. It's still fun to drive, but obviously a B18 would be far more fun. This era of Hondas were masterpieces of design.

I loved the fact that it was a stick shift and a SI. I remember dropping it 2 inches then doing sum minor engine work..exhaust, intake, headers..man i miss my old car. It was excellent on gas as well. Thanks for the video man i really appreciate all the good work that u do. Keep on doing ur thing

“Quickest” feeling car I’ve ever driven. Definitely not the fastest. Way back in the 90’s. Was a heavily modified CRX si. Thing felt like a go cart. It was an absolute ripper. Not sure if it had an engine swap (probably not). But, it definitely had suspension work and it had no power steering. This car is going to be an absolute blast to drive after you guys are done with it. Beautiful work and subscribed.

I really love the attention to detail on the swap. Some people just swap engines and prioritize to gap people rather than paying attention of weak points on the swap that would cause problems like the header for example. Really nice job👌

Thanks, back in 2002 when I was doing my jdm B18C ( jdm 2000 itr ) swap in my crx ee8 ( europe ef8 ), was so much easier with everything bolt on ( b16 stock ). The big mods were for the châssis rigidity/suspensions/brakes etc to have a great handling car to go with the engine.

Mmm... CRX’s remind me of my teenage years lol. I had a red 1990 CRX Si that I had bought off my sister & I absolutely loved it. It had upgrades like intake, headers, a computer chip, full exhaust, Eibach springs (coil overs were way to expensive back then) & that thing could skidaddle! That was way before “Fast & Furious” brought street racing to the masses so the race scene wasn’t nearly as large as it is today. I ended up crashing my CRX & I bought a VW Scirocco. Crashed that car & got a VR6 Corrado (LOVED that car!). Crashed that car & I decided that speed wasn’t my thing so I bought a truck instead hahaha! Ahhh... the good ‘ol days lol!
