I have both dry and dehydrated skin! Layering a thick, oily moisturiser over a hydrating gel type moisturiser had been an absolute gamechanger

One of my best tips for winter is to invest in a little space heater. I turn the space heater on and close my bathroom door for about ten minutes before I shower, bonus points if you leave the shower door/curtain open during the time. It warms up the bathroom's room temperature so that it isn't so cold and encourages you to use a cooler water temperature. Running the shower on hot for 30-60 seconds before getting in to create the start of a steam helps too. Then, when you get out, the bathroom is still nice and toasty, so you don't rush to get into clothes, which encourages you to actually put on the moisturizer that your skin will so desperately need. I turn the space heater off once I'm dressed and it's cooled off by the time I'm done with my hair and makeup so I can put it back into my cabinet until the next shower. It's been such a game changer for my skin!

The onlything constant about my skin, is how dehydrated it is. Sometimes I’m oily, sometimes I’m combination, sometimes I’m dry, sometimes I’m normal, but I’m always dehydrated!

I am mature and live in a very dry, and recently, windy climate. You are so right about mineral spfs. I am dry by noon, and by 4pm it is just flaking off. My skin is pretty normal usually, so the barrier is ok. I think hyaluronic acid actually sucks moisture out of my skin so I'm looking for products with glycerine. What is your pick for a non-mineral sunscreen for a dry climate?
@your.appointed.priestess7 ай бұрын
I heard once by one of the skin gurus on here that hyaluronic acid since it's a humectant it draws moisture from the air and into skin BUT if the climate is dry it does the opposite, making skin drier.

My tip would be to hydrate internally, drink that water! I'm just as guilty of not doing this because we just naturally don't feel as thirsty in the colder months as we do in the warmer months but it's absolutely vital! I try to drink warmer water which as I understand is better for your body than cold water.

so in conclusion, i have both TT i'm dry all year around and have eczema. thankfully, i'm now (compared to the past) more careful of using harsh chemicals and treatments on my skin and have done so for years. i've gotten better at using more gentle methods for taking care of my skin and actually use many of the tips you recommend here and recommended in the past. i do have trouble with exfoliation as i feel like my skin is even more sensitive than before (like now i can't even use kale-lalu-yAHA anymore

Hi Leah, I am so glad that you popped up on my U Tube Home Page. Hi, I’m Karla. 62 with dry, very dehydrated skin, especially under my eyes and sides of my mouths, chin area. I have been using Sukoyaka Suhada Urea Watery Lotion Essence and Benton eye cream, buttt not really any change in my dehydration. What do you recommend for a more mature woman with dehydrated skin. I will for sure stop using all actives for 7-14 days, including Tretinoin. 😢. I also use a retinol gel Tx under my eyes and eyelids. HELP. OH, I SUBSCRIBED AND, and will be going thru your videos. The video that popped up was from 5 yrs ago on dehydrated skin. Thank you so much. I am so glad I watched your videos.

Hi Liah! I see in your old video about dehydrated skin, that you recommend using Laneige Cream Skin and Cica Sleeping Mask while in this newest video, you recommend the Skinfood and Heimish/Tocobo to hydrated. so, are all products whether on an old video or the newest video about options that we can choose? Or is there an option that you think is the best? Thank you

Hi Liah, great video! I'm very curious about rosacea/cuperosis as I have dry skin and lived with -40c in my childhood without much hydration for skin. It seems like there is so much info around and many false promise products. I think overall for me it's not getting that much worse but I would be really grateful to hear more about what I can do without operation or laser as that sounds a bit scary. Thanks a lot!!

Hi, I've started using the Living Libations Seabuckthorn Oil to cleanse my skin. I've only used it for a couple of days, but it's really drying out my skin. Is this normal? I have dry/sensitive skin. I've read somewhere that there's an adjustment period, so I'm curious if you have any thoughts or recommendations? Thanks!

does anyone here have any experience w the axis-y vs the I’m from mugwort masks? i own the I’m from one and really enjoy it! was wondering if they’re as good as one another or if its worth getting the axis-y one instead? my main concerns are very visible sebaceous filaments, and in the winter my skin does show signs of dehydration or damaged skin barrier, though i believe i currently have it under control, as my perioral dermatitis hasn’t been working up in a while. my skin is most likely combination or slightly dry, and sensitive. any feedback/tips would be appreciated!

No exfoliation needed for dehydrated skin?
@shannarafryer31117 ай бұрын
Yes and no. Dehydrated skin, especially skin that is dehydrated for a while can become sensitized and it would not be wise exfoliate as it could makes things 10x worse. But since everyone is different, if you need to exfoliate use something VERY gentle or use it way less often
