I am an ex traveling crochet stylist in Atlanta. For this hair I split into small pieces loop twice and tie a knot. That way it doesn't slip out and it's a secure knot. But I knot all my crochet braid styles. Zero slippage😊

I have a one of those little edge flat iron. I use it to heat the knots a little bit, which stops the slip out of the knots.

I liked it at first, but it looks too thin after two weeks so I guess I will stick with my beach girl. Stay thicker after four weeks.

Your review is consistent with my experience of the hair. I wore this pattern almost exclusively for a little while. I believe the saving grace was smaller knots, because the bigger they were, the easier it was for them to spill out. I also found that straight back braid pattern didn't work for me with this hair, a hive worked better. It is definitely medium maintenance, and that hawaiian silky was my BFF. Im glad you tried it, its a lovely hair, but it needs some TLC on the regular for it to stay good.

I experienced the same thing with the sassy curl from this brand. Beautiful in the beginning, two weeks later…..was ready for it to come out. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this one. I’ll stick with my beach curl, soft dread and water wave for now!😊

I used this hair also but didn't use the 3x pack. The hair is nice when first installed. After about 3 weeks it looked very dry even with product and spray. So its ok for a short term look not a 5-6 week hair. I would also say use smaller pieces when installing to make the knts tighter.

Ughhh not freetress too. I was just thinking it was the hair I was ordering from Amazon. I was going to go back into the BSS and buy freetress. What is going on with this slippery hair not holding the knots. I have actually knotted some 3/4 times and it still comes down.

@292teacher I've only tried their deep twist and go go curl. They are the only Freetress available where I am. It's possible that the others will be better. I didn't experience too much slippage but the knots wouldn't stay tight so I was always paranoid that people would see 🇬🇭🇬🇧

The looser curl hair has slippage. Tighter curls like water wave, bohemian, and even beach curl (I use smaller pieces or double knot on the top w beach curl) work well. In my opinion , Freetress and Harlem are 2 of the better brands.

Chile your hair looked amazing. I think it's how many times you knotted it sis. Especially if you swam in it and it held up. If the hair was not good it would've came out in the wash 😊 no pun intended! Happy belated sis, love you!

I’ve learned with this brand smaller pieces/strands work best with securing the knots. However using smaller pieces/strands of hair makes the installation process extremely long. 🥴 I am sooo conflicted with this brand because no one else does color, texture and density like they do, but the installation process is not user friendly for me.

It seems they've discontinued mane concept beach curl. That hair is my absolute favorite. Have you come across anything that's similar? Mane concept beach curl lasts me 4-6 weeks, low maintenance, water friendly, and still looks good when it's time to remove.

You have knot the hair more than once. It's not the hair, it's how you knot the hair

I knotted the hair multiple times in the back. I only invisible knot in the front like I do with all my hair. If this hair isn’t compatible with invisible knotting then it’s not the hair for me unfortunately but definitely could work for someone else.
