Just shows Liams voice is still there when he doesn't shout too much and not at the end of a year long world tour.

I Think this is from the benifit concert for Drummer John Brookes of the Charlatans who sadly passed away.I hope they raised lots of money for his family.

As a guy from Liverpool I was doubtful, but he does it so well . Love it.

I just can't believe Liam would choose to sing this song, I love it, it's one of my favorite George Harrison songs but not a song I thought Liam would choose to cover, I'm really surprised but at the same time, I love it, didnt know the mad brother had a spiritual side to him.

Excuse you but Cobain was the voice of the ‘90s and this is almost universally accepted. George Harrison despised Oasis as he believed they were merely trying rip off the Beatles. I personally love all 3 bands mentioned and listen to them all on almost day-to-day basis.

I'd love to hear this recorded "clean" like a studio ideally. I think this is a good showcase of the way Liam knows he has to start singing... I'm tired of reading comments that his voice is shot. Course it ducking sounds different. Any of you sound the same age 21, 20 years later? Doubt it. And then none of us was doing world tours for 20 years either. Liam always had a unique style of vocals. He knows himself it's not sustainable. There's an old interview kicking around here somewhere where he is talking about it. Saying how he will have to change the way. Nobody can sing like he did at his "peak" without causing permanent damage. He sings through his larynx and nose. Not through the stomach like most classical singers. Hence "best vocalist" title. I believe he will come back veeeery soon with an amazing vocal. I'd bet my last buck on it.

Liam does the greatest ever cover of this song even when he is at the point of his career when his voice is shot....imagine if he sang thus in 1994 in his prime he would have taken this song to another level even harrison couldn't acheive...shows how amazing liam is

Ern, no its not weak and embarrassing at all pal. That was a quality performance, liams voice really worked well there. My sweet lord is a gentle soulful song with compassion which shone through these by liam, his love for the Beatles and most of all George Harrison reflects in this performance. I'm not a fan of beady eye at all as much as I am liams voice and oasis but this is a great effort in my opinion. So when you say weak you probs mean gentle. This is a gentle tune man..peace

wow! I have always acknowledged that there's this song by George Harrison, but never been a fan of it. I have never been a fan of LG either. But I am definitely a fan of this mixture of music from the generation of my retired parents, performed by a generation of musicians from my early teens, enjoyed by myself in my mid 30's.

The idea of Liam Gallagher singing a Hari Krishna tribute song just seems...odd. But he does a great job. Do you think it gave him a sense of inner peace and love and an insight into his location within the transcendent, eternal wheel of life? No. Neither do I.
