Muay Thai in Thailand is on a completely different level. The kids start at a very early age, and the training is as tough as physical training goes. A lot of Thai fighters seem to be immune from pain and unless you knock them unconscious, they will keep coming at you again and again.

It's incredibly hard to control but at least you won't have to think about how fatigued and hurt you are. Although rarely happens in a ring, at least I haven't experienced it in one.

The thai fighters are on another level, take Rodtang for example. When he was against demetrius Johnson for MMA he didn't even tap out at all. He just got put to sleep by demetrius because there's no way he was tapping out that shit. They are taught to go to the very end and that's what he did. Dangerous af but also legendary af.

Man that's a shitty feeling when your used to dropping guys then you find one you dont seem to hurt. Boxed a guy that was all roided up. Pounded on him for 5 rounds. He had no skill but it was like punching a rock. My hands never hurt so bad. I was really starting to fear I would tire out and hed land one of those tree limbs and put me down. Glad it only went 5.

So, there’s typically a mutual respect in a fight there. If you try to just sleep someone and you don’t, you’re screwed. There’s a thing when you’re playing the sport of kickboxing and making a show for the audience. But when that unspoken agreement of “you don’t hit me too hard, I won’t hit you too hard” is broken, they will turn up and real hurt you. If you’re gonna go out there and try taking someone’s head off in the second round, you better damn well make sure 100% they will not be getting back up.
