remember those words Sasha wanted Sam dead regardless to make SONNY hurt to Sasha she saw sam as the reason Karpov is dead, she assumed someone is feeding information of karpov's business and assumed it was Sam! That's why Karpov was upset in how Jason' would already blow up ports that areas that belonged to Karpov! But really it was spinelli doing all the grunt work behind the computer! But either way Sam was on the right track her attempt before her cover was blown was ot help out Lucky and it was working! But she didn't have to stay to become a regular she should have gotten out before Sasha was able to do a history report on her to know if Sam is who she said she was! But to that extent all of that led to Sasha wanting to come after Sam when Karpov died! And when karpov's men told Sasha they found sam and hear children of cousse Sasha told them to take the children! Had sam just stay in police custody this whole time there's no way jake would have been kidnapped all jason had to do was sail or fly Liz and the kids on a plane ticket with guards to Sarah in California or have max or milo take them to one of sonny's islands! Don't you find it ridiculous that htey chose not to do that, it's because they refused the effects of leaving this show as jasam has left the environment of the show to feel toxic! I wish that they had done another recast of Lucky because I don't like that Lucky has become an absentee Dad. Also, I have always thought that these two people should be the family that Elizabeth has always seemed to want. She wants a normal, suburban lifestyle. I never understood why they screwed up both Jason and Sam as well as Lucky and Elizabeth to go with Liz and Jason who were frankly not a good couple because it ruined Jason and Sam as characters for two years and when they seem to be correcting their mistakes by reuniting Liz and Lucky they go and have her sleep with Nikolaus. I just don't get why Elizabeth can't get a happy family with Lucky who is the love of her life.

Jason so called relationship with Elizabeth was all about Jake. Let's elaborate, in 2007, when Jason was in jail during the trial for Alcázar's murder he told Spinelli that once Jake was born he could not put Sam first and that she deserved to be with someone who put her first. This happened after she broke up with him and after he knew what she did regarding Jake meaning that he still loved her but he felt so overwhelmed by the loved for his child that he needed to find a way to stay connected to Jake no matter what the cost. If we look objectively at the way Jason was acting towards the business, with Sonny, Carly and everything else that matter to him he was neglecting everything. Jason became a completely different person. Jason was demonstrating lack of discipline and focus towards everything that had always been important to him in his life. The only thing he was focusing on was Jake and his infatuation with Elizabeth (See Definition of Infatuation below). We identify Jason's feelings for Elizabeth as an infatuation because that is exactly what she felt for him. It was mutual. The interesting factor here was that the basis for Jason's infatuation was his overwhelming love for his son. Let's remember that quite often infatuations take a life on their own and the people involved get stuck on stupid. They forget the essence of who they are and usually constantly compromised themselves just to seek satisfaction. Until something terrible happens that snaps them back to reality. Also, when he confronted Sam because she told Carly the truth about Jake's paternity and she responded by calling him on his choice to be with Elizabeth he was speechless because Sam told him that Elizabeth doesn't understand him, she would never stand by him and she would never support him. Jason knew Sam was right when she told him that his son was going to pay the consequences of said choice. Later on, we found out that Sam was right. Jason fell asleep at the wheel and his actions had consequences. Let's see: 1. Jason didn't tell Carly that Michael was playing around with guns. 2. Michael shot Kate by accident and then Michael ran away because he was afraid of Sonny's reaction. 3. Carly went after Michael and lost her baby. 4. TMK grabbed Sam. Elizabeth was in the wrong place at the wrong time. 5. Jason hurt his hands 6. Sonny is out of control 7. The Russian Syndicate moved to Town 8. A counterfeit drug ring got established and Jerry is part of it. Sam is undercover but Jason doesn't know it. 9. Michael got shot. 10. Kate got shot 11. Sonny joined the Zacchara Organization. He married Claudia Zacchara. 12. Mob War got started 13. Sam, Elizabeth and the kids were attacked by the Russians 14. Jake was kidnapped All the aforementioned happened on Jason's watch. He used to be more diligent and more efficient. Sonny and Carly asked him a couple of times what was going on and he said nothing. He kept on lying and living on his web of lies while compromising himself over and over just to fulfill his infatuation with Elizabeth by sneaking around with her without thinking that he was putting a lot of people that counted on him in jeopardy. In the meantime, his commitments and responsibilities were put aside and forgotten. That is exactly what happened to Jason the entire time he was with Elizabeth. For instance, as previously indicated, Sam was proven right because Jake did suffer the consequences of Jason's lost of focus and perspective. He was kidnapped by the Russians and almost blown to pieces by his own father. To think that everything could have been avoided if Jason would have stopped compromising himself and would have remained true to who he was. Furthermore, we truly believe that it is anything but love when the person you are with turned you into the worse version of yourself. That is exactly what happened to Jason when he attempted to have a so called "relationship" with Elizabeth. He forgot who he was and all about his commitments and responsibilities. While Jason was with Elizabeth everything was about lies, cover ups, a secret affair, a hide out, compromised values, compromised integrity and total lost of moral compass. There was no honesty, acceptance, support, or understanding between them. So, we asked how could've work? How could have been confused for love? We don't have the answer to these questions and usually the people involved in this type of situations don't either. The only thing that we know for sure is that reality hit everyone very hard in the face and it was not pretty. We do believe they were snapped back into reality. Now, they could go back to be who they really are and stop trying to be what their not. That is the only way they both finally can go back to be true to themselves so they could give the best of themselves to the people they love.
