This solo is brilliant for the simple fact that he was able to take these repeating patterns and make them last this long. Not my favorite by Skynard but brilliant. Reminds me of AcDc with Malcom doing the same thing with chords.....Absolutely amazing to take the same things and make them sound different.

@SuperRoger101 - It's not hard, i didn't bother learning all the exact notes, so it's just to improvise in the pentatonic scale (mainly in the 15th fret box)

Everyone keeps asking what the tape is for. Well. He doesn't have a pick shield on his and uses tape for it. The pick hits the tape instead of the guitar. It makes it not get scratched.

@dayiiv I agree with the repetitiveness, but that just makes it sound more awesoem. This solo is nothing without the repetitiveness. And yeah, this solo isnt all that hard, there are only a handful of techniques in this solo. I noticed right away a resemblance to Kirk Hammettes style.

well start by playing the riff slowly at first and then build gradually ur speed....and of course practice it a lot

Just fyi, for the lead slide guitar, the guitar has two G strings. Seriously, the b string on the slide guitar needs to be replaced and have a duplicate G.
