Man, I love this. I’m a senior in high school , about to graduate. I appreciate you taking your time to help us understand the life as a rep. Much appreciated. Thank you.

Is it common to use the work “sexy” in the medical device sales industry?

Would working in sterile processing be a way to get your foot in the door to sales rep?

Brenda, it would be a great way to learn the process of SPD and also a great way to network/meet reps!

I'm not sure I would recco that. I've only met scrub techs who ended up working in med sales b/c the money is better and they are working directly with reps in the OR. I almost never knew people in SPD. Med sales companies hire people with 4-year degrees who are type "A" personalities and can handle pressure. Almost all reps are former athletes who know what it means to grind to achieve. Your best bet is to work really hard on your people/relationship building skills. Get a degree. Apply for associate jobs and knock the socks off of people with your personality and achievements.
