I'm not gonna say piloting training isn't necessary but we are in an age where auto pilot is very much a real thing and almost everything is automated now. The only thing pilots really have to check now is turbulence and controlling the landing.

@tspryaviation

As a student pilot, there's a saying we have: "Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing. A perfect landing is when you can use the aircraft again." And tbh, flying is easier than driving a car imho and I think anyone can do it, especially when the plane can autoland and the airport has ILS (a fancy term for autoland)
@bumblebeeyellowdragon
@bumblebeeyellowdragon Жыл бұрын
@@tspryaviation Autolanding is being charitable. The pilot still has to bring the plane down the auto is just a guidance system really. Does make it way way way easier to land not denying that but you still need some training to land a plane without crashing it. There's no do overs if you're flying a passenger liner.

5 tips on how to deal with an angry girlfriend: 1. Be sure of the situation, ask her if she is really angry. 2. Present your point of view, tell her you don't understand why anyone would be angry in this situation. 3. Remind her of proper etiquette, tell her to calm down. 4. Show that you try to understand her struggles, ask her if she perhaps is on her period. 5. Bring her behavior into context, by comparing her reaction to that of her mother.

Funnily enough, gaslighting yourself is actually something therapists will suggest as a way to help you gain more positive thinking, lol. My therapist explained it to me as if the neural pathways are like roads and the more you continue to take the same paths, the more carved out the road becomes and the easier it is to drive/go that way. The more you tell yourself positive things, even if you don't believe it at first, the easier it will be to think that way in the future and the more you will actually start to believe it.

Here in Finland we inherit the debts, at least it was like that at one point, dont know if its still so. Dad had debt of millions, he ended every phone call with “If I die tomorrow, refuse your inheritance, so you dont end up paying for my mistakes”.. I was in my twenties and really didnt care to think about my family dying weekly. 20+ years later, he is still very much alive, btw, and debt free.

Im pretty proud of dad too, he totally ruined our whole family for a while, but after one failed 90s business (and what a fail it was!), he rose back in the saddle in completely different field and is doing fine today. Ill bet retiring soon, without crushing debt, feels pretty good for him. I learned that anything is possible from that too, I stopped sweating the small stuff. And I try to pay everything with cash, Im really apprehensive to take even small debts. If i cant afford it, I dont really need it :)
@bumblebeeyellowdragon

In Canada it's complicated. Legally speaking you can't inherit debt because inheritence has to be existing things only. Some companies however will illegally try to contact your next of kin to get debts or owed things out of them. They tried this on my mom once for something I owed, I wasn't even dead yet, and I phoned that company and told them if they ever harassed my mom again over what I owe I'll sue them. They never bothered her again.

The brownie "hack" is actually super dangerous. In a small, but not insignificant percentage of people, certain substances can trigger mental problems or conditions. @@shadowking278 I know there have been cases where people knowingly exposed others to known allergies and ended up with charges ranging from assault, assault with a deadly weapon, and even in some cases manslaughter and attempted murder. I donate blood plasma twice a week, which is really nice (good center, get paid to save lives by sitting down for an hour, what's not to like?). Recently discussed with them the issue with alcohol after donations and hoo, boy, you do *not* want to be rolling that roulette wheel. The body reacts quite negatively to the imbalance. I don't recall the details but it was enough to bring hospitals into the picture and enough to make me glad I rarely drink and so don't have a problem staying away from alcohol for a few hours twice a week.

Yep. And spiking someone's food without telling them its also illegal. I turned in a guy in high school because he made pot brownies and was giving them out for free (without revealing what they were) so he could watch unknowing people get stoned. He even gave one to the teacher (Though i told the teacher before he could eat the brownie). Like, I didn't and don't care if he wanted to just eat pot brownies himself, but you can't give people drugged food without telling them. Both because it could make someone very sick or kill them because of allergies, like you mentioned, and also, being high without knowing it was going to happen is often terrifying

The “pick one person and blame them for everything” me and my friends actually do this, but in a joking way. We blame this one guy for everything, good or bad. (he knows about the joke and is fine with it) Things I have blamed them for: glitch in a video game, WW2, space travel, me making a game, the robot not working (he wasn’t at the club meeting, I said if he was here it would have worked, turns out I was right, next meeting he fixed it). At this point we have made a religion about him, saying he must be a god since he is responsible for everything. Even the teachers are in on it, once a teacher accidentally swore and said the guy must have put a spell on her. I try not to blame him for anything that is actually his fault, just things that no one would ever think they could possibly do, like being the cause for something happening in a book like the Odyssey, or inventing the sun.
@beth7935

LOL! Reminds me we did that when I did Mediaeval recreation: one guy got designated the "Baronial Scapegoat", & anything that went wrong was his fault. You'd shout the problem at him- "the strap on my armour broke!", "it's raining!", "I forgot the mead!"- & he'd go "sorry!"... The teachers getting in on your joke is pretty funny tho, & I love the idea of blaming someone for historical events- I'd have waaay too much fun with that.

17:51 This is actually true, but not because the bananas "think" they're in a tree, that's ridiculous. It's because when fruit ripens, it releases a chemical that speeds up the ripening process in nearby unripe fruit. Hanging your bananas keeps them out of their own ripening chemicals, so they ripen slower and thus don't go bad as fast.

The title might be considered a joke, but there is truth in it. Especially during panic attacks, I found. Reminding myself I'm ok, its not serious, actually helps a lot in calming myself down. Your body is in constant alert mode, even when it doesnt need to be, and often triggers can be something harmless, and you don't even realize what it is till after how harmless it actually was, like YOU yourself worrying too much about something that MAY happen in the distant future, even though there's literally no sign of it anywhere. Since your brain is essentially tricking you into thinking there's a threat, its good to keep reminding yourself, no...there is no threat, you're perfectly fine. Grounding, really.

I've gotten 4 whole cvd shots since then and even a blood draw. I was irrationally afraid and was convinced I would sooner let myself get cvd then get a shot but then you shared your own fear and it made me feel less alone. I decided I HAD to get over it and while it's still hard, I've made amazing progress. Never underestimate how much sharing your own experiences, however small they are, can mean to someone. 14:10 This might actually work with a bit of tweaking and under certain conditions. This will probably work better if you wear shoes that look more feminine and live alone, or with only people that only wear feminine style shoes. This also doesn’t really work if you live an apartment building. If you get two shoe racks and put “his” and “hers” signs above them, put all the feminine shoes on the “hers” sign and then get several huge pairs of shoes to go on the “his” side (cover them in dirt and mud first, to make it look like someone actually wears them). Maybe put some flannel jackets on the coat rack too. Get a lumberjack picture and hang it up on the wall. This will make it look like you’re married to or dating a super tall, buff, lumberjack guy.

1:14 it's basically the plot of Blue Exorcist (anime)movie but instead of just cringe memories the creature eats all upsetting/annoying memories (literally every single one of them) and the memory eater is just a small demon and its true form is a bunny and instead of a fluffy tail he has so-called "anxiety scribbles". And by the end of the movie it basically erases entire time he spent with the main character and humans which technically makes all the events non-canon but MC remembers it all and misses the creature because it was just like him, just a demon trying to live in peace with humans.

I think one of the problems with remembering names is that people often introduce themselves name first, before you're fully 'checked-in' to the conversation and fully focused. Then, the name also gets buried by all the additional details they throw at you. I almost never have clear recollection of how someone introduced themselves to me, at least the first line or two they say. My brain seems to filter that as 'generic introduction'.
