Never apologize for taking the time to make good content. Never feel pressured to rush bad content. You matter more than the content does, and the better you're doing the better the content is anyway. So it's win-win. Keep doing you! We're loving it.

Thank you both so much for this video I am an Aussie, and I have a Japanese wife. Both my parents have passed, with my mom passing away just two weeks ago. However, I love my in-laws and we travel to see them in Japan as often as we can. Just like you we travel around looking at the sights and enjoy as much food as we can. This really touched me, and I wish you and your families so much health and happiness. Stay true to who you are, and best of luck. Cheers D

OMG, that view from your parents backyard is phenomenal. The island is gorgeous and, Tia your mum and dad ,are so cool . Cheveyo ,the new haircut makes you look so much more grown up. Love you guys ,glad to see you looking so happy and relaxed. Oh and nice pub crawl by the way . Best place to have a hangover, on a remote tropical island, yeah. Can't wait to see where you pop up next ,love from Australia. Frank❤

The Fiji docu was great - please keep experimenting with different styles and figuring out what works for you. After all, this channel is also about how you two grow as travel documentary professionals, and your viewers are joining you on that journey! It's exciting and fun! this vlog was wonderful, too - Tia's parents are definitely cooler than the rest of us 😅

First time to comment. Your parents are in great physical shape. I loved you did a closeup of your mom. She is pretty and I see where you get your dimples. I never realized the social issue with your mom and dad. I was married to a Thai and I have a daughter. I do know how cruel people can be. I appreciate your love, concern and respect for your parents. ❤️❤️

Love to have an update from you again! Just so you know, I am extremely happy that you pick a way that works for you unashamedly, it basically also takes a bit of shame away from the viewers! You don't want to know how often people scream at their screen because they care about influencers, streamers etc to not overstretch themselves. I know with the economics of these things etc it isn't always really a choice either, but I do think that it's important to have good mental health if you deal with so many people watching you...

Thank you for sharing such an intimate visit with your parents. You could have kept this private, being family time, but you humbly shared this with us. What a special gift! Tia, your parents are beautiful people and I'm so glad that they have found such happiness in their retirement. This was so special to watch! Love the change in content style as well, you are both so good at making what I think of as "films", the quality is that good! Lots of love to you both from Perth, WA. Fremantle is waiting for you when you are ready! Xxx ❤

Knowing they are in a happy and safe place will really help continuing your travels. Even the op shop skirt from Broome made an appearance....lol. Would love to see more of the less touristy side of Japan some time in the future.

It's great to see video of you catching up with family, although I hope we (the viewers) weren't intruding. I loved that moment at 19:25, ha ha. Summed up 'the day after' perfectly. Honestly for me, the longer times between your videos is kinda nice because it's even more special when they drop.

Great to see the latest video and be introduced to Tia’s family. I honestly don’t believe you need to apologise for being ‘offline’ for a while especially catching up with family especially parents you haven’t seen for 12months. It’s great to see parents ‘living the dream’ in such a peaceful world after working and bringing up families.

Amami is the island where I was born, but unfortunately I have no memories of Amami because my family moved away from there when I was young for work. For some reason, watching your videos makes me feel nostalgic. And the sound of the shamisen really touches my heart. I felt like my heart was enveloped in the air of Amami. I hope your parents stay healthy and live long lives. Thank you so much.

Pleased to see them fully embraced and accepted by the local community. Family means a lot, sometimes it different , sometimes it's difficult but ultimately, it's family that ties us together. I lost both my parents within a year of each other, dad last August , mum in July the year before. Because we were separated by distance, I used to ring them every Sunday and every 3mths I'd drive the 1200klms to see them for 5 days. I miss that and I still get the urge on Sunday to ring them but nobody's home.

You are so like your parents in nature, Tia, and they must have been thrilled to have you there....Such a beautiful island, and what a wonderful life they have there, altho Im not sure Id like the extremities like typhoons and such...I know some of the Americans in this post will be used to those weather extremes, but I would find that hard to live with, coming from Australia....Ive always found the Japanese people to be very courteous and I know they love to enjoy themselves..I must say, Ive missed seeing your amazing videos...I have wonderful memories of your Australian trip, the incredible shooting of your videos, and the joy you bring to each and every one....Looking forward to seeing many more♥♥♥♥😊

Always good to see a video from OPW , you guys make me smile 😊. Coincidentally I watched a video just a couple of days ago which included the snake problem on Amami OshimA and the mongoose brought in to deal with them which didn't work be because the snakes are nocturnal and the mongoose is not . Tia's folks look fit and healthy , I know Cheveyo has siblings but was wondering if Tia does ? Glad you both had some time to chill there with family and friends. Environmentally , all that plastic is made from petro chemicals and it can be processed and turned into liquid fuel with little waste , same with old car tires , the world could do more of this I think . I look forward to the next one , stay safe 🖖🙂

This is why you guys are my favorite channel on YT. Y’all are so authentic, and genuine, and it comes across in everything you do. You both have great families, and it’s so cool to see how you connect with them. Loved the message at the end too - never regret not checking in with family and loved ones, and the time you spend with them is precious, now matter how frequent. This one resonated big time for that reason, and whether or not you live close, travel to drop in, or chat remotely on a regular basis, make time for those closest to you. Cheers.,

I am glad you are choosing to go with a shorter and more often format. We were actually quite concerned when we didn't see anything posted for over a month. I am glad you enjoyed your R&R in Fiji and am sure you needed it. The longer video took us three times to get through it, we are older than your parents and fell asleep the first two times. I will say that you are spot on when it comes to connecting with your family. It IS vital and our mothers were very happy to follow us vicariously when we spent a year driving around Australia in 2010.
