I also struggle with symptoms of pcos and insulin resistance, but cutting the carbs has greatly improved my overall health. Blood pressure is normal. I am no longer pre-diabetic. @TricesTastyEats Thank You Love! I started in October 2023. When you cut out all the bad carbs, the weight is going to drop drastically. I traded bread for low carb keto tortillas shells, cooking oil for olive oil and avocado oil, I eat more lean protein meats, switched to healthy fats such as avocado. No sugary drinks or snacks or processed foods. You are going to love the results! Trust me!

I really understand your struggle with PCOS. I struggle with PCOS myself. I truly believe obesity is a disease. I don’t believe that this is our fault. We need need a medical intervention. I have always believed I could do this naturally, but I need help. I have literally tried everything with no progress. I have been overweight since birth! I plan on getting a VSG in May, I’m paying cash, I’m tired. My only concern is I will gain the weight back, with my insulin resistant PCOS. As a person who has had VSG, I totally have no regrets! I didn’t gave PCOS OR heart problems, but I was overweight, sleep apnea, pre diabetic and high blood pressure. Having weight loss surgery has saved my life and has given me a second chance to get my health in order! My insurance covered everything except my co-pay but I was able to get financial assistance from the hospital. My entire process only took 4 1/2 months from my intake appointment. Oh I also suffered from swelling in my knees (arthritis) and plantar Fasciitis . Very painful but all is good now….,thanks to having VSG! My highest weight was 283.4, but I lost 50 pounds on my own way before my doctor suggested weight loss surgery. Day of surgery I was 242…gain weight because I knew I was getting help lol. Two months later from My sit and I am currently 215. I am considered a slow loser and I am okay with that. I hope you decide whatever is best for you and your family. Best wishes to you 🙏🏽🙌🏽💪🏽👏🏽💃🏽

Keep your total daily carbohydrate intake below 20g/day and you will reverse your PCOS in about one year. You will also lose fat at about 6 lbs/month until you reach your genetically determined ideal body shape. I am happy to explain more, answer questions, or address concerns.

My mom was fine and my sister had a few complications but she’s all good. Down 98 pounds since the surgery. They both can’t eat like they use and more developed a food allergy. I have lupus so I understand feeling old lol Best wishes on your new life style

I honestly don’t know how much it costs. I’m assuming my insurance will cover a decent portion of it. Whatever isn’t covered will just have to go on a payment plan. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Do you have to pay out of pocket for the whole thing?
