I really emphasize with burnout - I work in healthcare and have been feeling it for so long :( I can't imagine picking up a camera and adding content creation on top of everything else! Personally I want you to be able to take breaks whenever you feel the need, and we will still be here to support you ❤

When I finally understood that big corporations, at the end of the day, don’t really care about you as an employee and if push comes to shove they can replace you in a heartbeat, I learned to not care too much about work and to put myself first. Someone can always pick your work up because there’s always going to be work. I used to take my laptop home on weekends and stay more than 8 hours a day, but for what? Being tired at home, not investing in myself, etc, only to repeat the next day and always living for the weekends. Being dedicated to work is great for people whose life is work, but otherwise it’s stress inducing and a constant feeling of not doing enough or being enough. The new mindset took the pressure off.

on the other hand, being irreplaceable and needed for long hours in a small company can be really stressful too

i just realized this a few months ago and I'm still trying hard to get through this period to shift my mindset. It's really not easy. I still feel under pressure if I fail to reply to work messages promptly. Thanks to your comment that remind me again that I don't need to push myself so hard and I'm not irreplaceble at work. I should spend more time to care about my own life and invest in myself!

Sadly, even small businesses. I am working for a small business, and I'm going through a lot, overworked, underpaid, not appreciated, and I've ended up starting a side hustle that i hope will soon start giving me enough money to support myself without a full time job (i am a nail and lash tech).

Yeah, exactly because Google, Meta, Microsoft, etc do not care they offer sabbatical up to a full year as a perk for long-term employees 🙄

I've gone through this type of burnout too. Take all the time you need. I took 2 weeks and realized that I wasn't better at all, and it was a little bit more serious than I originally thought. I love that you're always so real, and you don't try to come off as being perfect. Hope things get better for you. Maybe you guys should plan a getaway to clear your mind.

Welcome back Sarah! ❤ you are my fav “adulthood comfort” KZbinr because we are in the same age and everything you do I found so relatable and echoing (also repping DMV) - all your podcasts are amazing and definitely so good to hear someone our age to talking about our struggles at 20s . WLB is so hard especially with your extra content creation and everything we are so proud of you❤ make sure you take breaks and do stuff that can help relieve ur work fatigue!! Also get more tattoos (jokingly but seriously)

Burnout is so difficult. I remember I had to take leave and even after two weeks I felt horrible - it was really at the 1 month mark I started to be able to relax a little and detach from work. The anxiety coming back was hard too. I hope you continue to take care of yourself 💛 sending you love

rooting for you! take care of yourself, its easy to relate your self identity to work when we spend so much of our time there and we sometimes measure our self worth by corporate achievements and promotions or recognition in that environment but we are so much more as people than how much shareholder value we increase!

how lucky is it that an uber driver is with a woman like that.. she has the heart of gold..where she is able to look beyond whats on the outside..i feel once you find a woman at a young age and build attachment with them, they will stick with you...especially when they start becoming less and less fertile.

Im not finished yet with the video, but I recommend you taking time to reflect on if you are happy at google and what makes you happy working there. In a prior video you mentioned feeling behind because your friends at other corporations had moved jobs/ventures multiple times meanwhile you remained at google the 5 years. It’s easy to compare ourselves to others and feel societal pressure. But if you’re happy, then don’t question it. Listen to what your body and mind say. Thanks for sharing ❤

Hi! I want to share with you this: I used to have a chronic back pain for 3years and half and it was until my chronic pain moved to my hip and knee that I decided to do acupuncture. I did it for a year and I noticed the difference so much now. I get pain here and there, but it isn’t chronic any more. I want to share because maybe acupuncture will help you as well. Hope you feel better. And last year I was planning to go to IVF and at the last minute I changed my mind because I know it is a lot for the body and mind so I am glad you took a month break. ❤

Hey, I work at Google and can answer. It depends-- they don't have real sabbaticals, so your options are to use your vacation time (paid) or unpaid leave time.

I think it's important to establish the difference between IVF and Egg Freezing. IVF is literally for those who have struggled to get pregnant and have been diagnosed with infertility and after egg freezing will get the fertilized egg implanted to get pregnant immediately. You are just freezing your eggs which is fine but I feel like you are using the term IVF for sympathy and drama which is sooo wrong on so many levels considering there are so many people who do not want to go through the process but are forced to, to have kids. This is a choice made by you. As someone that is so privileged in life and probably makes multiple six figures at Google, I don't know why you would try to act like you have infertility for views.
