Thanks Sis Boni for your channel and for allowing some of us to share our life and career journeys with your audience. The purpose of my interview is to share the journey from my Limpopo homeground up to where I am today in the Kingdom of Saudi and phase this with challenges that i managed to turn into opportunities. The other thing i forgot to mention is the fact that in most African countries, the youth go to school and they dont study to go look for a job, but they study to start their own businesses and become independent from day ONE after graduation. And there is a plethora of businesses that are not Capital intensive. Why can't we as South Africans adopt the same mindset because it seems a lot of our people are begging for experience, begging for jobs 😢... We need to discuss this further... I hope n pray that we all focus on the goodies of all interviews and for startes, disregard whatever we dont agree with so that the goodies can be multiplied exponentially. Let's all learn together, grow together, win together, and laugh together. I love you all... Kariba

@manayesh, it seems that you have all the experience and qualities, especially for offshore operations. You should look at companies like Halliburton. Visit their website because it's an international company with a footprint in Saudi and the whole Middle East as well. Also, Google search "OFFSHORE Drilling companies/careers" and follow those companies on LinkedIn.

To add my two cents from what Bra Kariba said. You need to be an optimist and realist to be a high achiever. I also came from a disadvantaged background and now work in the Netherlands as a software engineer. My whole journey is not a fluke, it takes years of small investments in myself from high school. During school holidays I used to go drive a truck with my dad, I learned a lot from that experience. I was always hungry for knowledge, I coupled that with good grades. I went on to get a BSc Math & Computer Science. Went to IT industry and eventually ending up in Europe. I always tell young people, I never gave my parents a headache growing up, and I am reaping the rewards. So moral of the story is, there are no shortcuts in life. Hard work pays off eventually. I

I also would like to thank Aunt Boni for creating such a wonderful and mind opening chanel I was a matric learner last year, currently supplementing my Maths and Physics this year as my marks were not good enough to secure me a spot in varsity, my wish is to one day become a professional engineer but i would always doubt my choice as I'm also staying in a small village with few qualified people and it is hard to get any advices from people who have the knowledge from that specific qualification. Like i have so many questions and no one to answer them but from the knowledge i have gained in this video i will surely try by all means to atleast gain experience as Mr Kariba has said that by working in the car washes you may also gain some experience/knowledge there so I'll also try there😅❤ Truly speaking, i am truly inspired by the story of Mr Kariba, like he didn't let anything come between him and his dream as a boy from a village, i will also become an engineer one day and make my family proud😊. Once again thanks Mr Kariba for taking your time to deliver this message to us, may god continue blessing you guys❤

Sisi Boni , thank you so much . However I got some questions.. 1. What is a major difference between a motor vehicle mechanic and a mechanical engineer(in terms of job description) 2. After twenty years experience as a motor vehicle mechanic can someone become a mechanical engineer. 3. Can someone with 20 years of experience as a motor vehicle mechanic with a Bachelor's degree of technology in mechanical engineering or advance diploma in mechanical engineering (NQF level 7) become a mechanical engineer.. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thank
@KEM22019Ай бұрын
@benjaminmangena9437 Mechanical Engineering is an umbrella of a plethora of other engineering fields like motor engineering, aircraft engineering, structural engineering, fabrication engineering, etc. However, In order for one to be considered an Engineer in general, you need to have a degree or a BTech with recognised post qualification experience in the field..
@benjaminmangena9437Ай бұрын
@@KEM22019 thank you so much for the answer. 2. So what does mechanical engineer do exactly when he/she is at work ,as we know the mechanic will be repairing, troubleshooting, servicing, overhauling engines etc of client vehicles. Does the mechanical engineer do same thing as a mechanic or different things? 2 The other thing is , why mechanical and electrical engineers are required to take a government certificate of competency (GCC) after qualifying with with engineering council of South Africa (ECSA)? Your cooperation and assistance are highly appreciated. Baie dankie, siyabonga, Siya bulela, Riya rebuka., merci beaucoup. Tino tenda👋🙏🤝

It's our duty to change tge narrative about Mzansi. So much is going to waste. We need young educated, vibrant, honest leaders to take our country forward and we are the chosen ones.

Yes, I chowed the chicken sandwich whilst having the interview, and actually they loved the fact that I was so free and they were also able to connect with me on a deeper, friendly and cultural level becausethey were Arab guys... Im sure they would have made me an offer even if I didn't meet all the requirements...

So inspiring 😍 thank you so much for this. 1 quick question : Can having a chronic illness like Diabetes limit your chances of moving abroad? Because I heard him say that there’s medical tests done, is it medical tests like checking your lungs and fitness or there’s blood tests involved as well?
@KEM22019Ай бұрын
A chronic illness such as diabetes is nothing to worry about. I had two elderly friends who had diabetes and another one who had high blood, but all of them were accepted. They only requested letters from their Medical Doctors confirming the type of chronic medication they use.

Mrs boni, can you make a video of doctors salary per month and per year. Doctors like plastic surgeons, nuerosurgeons, orthopaedic surgeons etc. Please please please
@liferesetwithboniАй бұрын
I've made videos about doctors twice now but not those specialists because I don't have the pay slips.

Thank you SisB i am truly inspired by this wow❤....i have 4 years experience as Sami-skilled artisan right i am busy with my trade test i believe in a week or two i will be writing my trade test so do they only consider experience after trade test or also consider the one before? And if you have a family can one with them that side?
@liferesetwithboniАй бұрын
Yes
@KEM22019Ай бұрын
A degree takes precedence but also, qualified Artisans with junior n made management (I.e. Foreman or Supervisor level) experiences, are also considered. Everyone is free to bring their family here, it's actually encouraged.

@liferesetwithboniАй бұрын
He spike about this at the beginning of the video..
@KEM22019Ай бұрын
In my first Company I worked in, i was an Engineer in Training. My responsibilities were to first learn their processes and systems in the first month and then do physical work with the various Engineering Artisans on the ground by attending to maintenance activities and equipment breakdowns.
