see, I already powerlift. I'm not here for that. I'm here for the fine video making and editing skills and for the absolute gem that is a singlet + shorts + shirt + tie + suit jacket + microphone bruce. this is the content we need

By far, best powerlifting, training episode ever. Thank you for making these videos! I’m looking forward to the next.

Small tip on the squat as well, in my recent comp I missed my first 2 squat attempts because of too much bounce on the bar at the lockout, basically being too explosive where the bar would bounce a bit on top of my back. This was immensly frustrating for the weight was moving a little too well with propper depth, but it threw me off so much seeeing those red lights. Always be in control of the bar during any part of the lift, hopefully my mistake can help some people.

I don't compete so it really doesn't matter to me but I've been going ATG on Squats and really controlling the descent on Squats and Deadlift. I feel like it has helped me get stronger through the whole range of motion on Squats and has helped me to maintain form and bracing from rep to rep on Deadlift. I've learned so much watching your FCF videos when you used to post weekly. My son has started lifting a bit and I've talked to him about building tension into the bottom of the lift, which has been so helpful for me.

Bro mostly people doesn't need to compete it won't give u money directly by which u r doing ur most of ur things, so just keep gym as for ur fitness don't get over involved in this, make money and live happy life.

@@sanjayjha9605I think some people get motivated by working towards a competition so, for them, it's great. I prefer to compete against myself. I also run half marathons, but just around my neighborhood. I'm for whatever helps us to be consistent and stay healthy.

Anyone know where I can find that plain black singlet with the white? The one he has in the clip of him setting up to squat in his first meet.

Erik has mentioned how his 1st lift was blown due to not following/knowing the commands.

Nice… Of all the rules, I struggle with the flat foot bench more than anything … Probably more because of my height .. Makes me want to invent a bench press shoe that has a 2 inch platform..😁 Another great video, thank you !

You can use foot blocks

@ . Thank you. I’m not sure if it’s a matter of my “height” or just inflexibility as an older lifter .. but I do tend to push from my toes, not flat footed.
