The 60th only had 1 company of light infantry and they were only used once during the attack at Fort Carillon later called Fort Ticonderoga. After that battle the 60th did not have a light Infantry Company.

Military History is 4 Me the 60th saw combat in North America during the French and Indian War in the Forbes Campaign in 1758, the Louisbourg campaign the same year, and the failed lake George campaign of the same year. They fought at Fort Carrillon and at Fort Ligonier. The next two years they saw combat at the siege of Quebec, taking part in both battles; Plains of Abraham and Sainte-Foy It is important to note that the full regiment, on paper was 4000 men strong all by itself. These men were divided into four battalions. In 1758, one battalion was with Forbes in PA and one with Abercromby in NY. One again at Louisbourg and another in the Carribean

Hi there, there are a number of suppliers, mostly based in the US although www.sj-seamstress.com in the UK carry some really good stuff. Having said that, I think I'm right in saying that everything in this video except for the buff belt was made by group members. If you would like to know more why not pop by our facebook page facebook.com/60thfoot/ and send/leave a message or email us at hm60thfoot@gmail.com, we are always happy to discuss kit, patterns and materials.
