My god imagine surviving a plane crash, being all alone and wounded for 10 days, finally finding people and the only way to get back was to fly on a plane again.

Theres other videos that explain why she survived the fall. Including a movie called wings of hope I believe. The director of the movie was to be on that very flight but cancelled at the last minute. This video also misrepresents where she was sitting. She was next to the window. All 3 seats were sucked out and being that shes was the only one attached still on the end it caused a spinning helicopter effect on the way down. That and updraft slowed her decent. Trees broke her fall. The movie is good and told by her herself. She revisits the crash site and the man that eventually rescued her.
@tupcilian7645
@tupcilian7645 3 жыл бұрын
We cant exactly know how cuz she passed out at impact and before impact but it's likely due to the fact that, since its a rain forest, she might have been very lucky and was cushioned by the trees without being severely injured by branches.

If this is the case I'm thinking of, there's speculation that her row of seats remained intact during the crash and the other people in them were flung away. The changing weight balance caused the seats to spiral as they fell and it slowed the descent just enough to let her land alive and relatively unharmed.

RealLifeLore, there were A LOT more than 200k people living in the entire Amazon by 1971. Just the Brazilian North region states, which are all located inside the region you labeled as Amazon in the video, had almost 4 million people in them. Yes, its still sparsely populated, but notwhere near the figures you mention in the video. My numbers are from the Brazilian Institue for Geography and Statistics, by the way. I have no idea where you found the 200k figure, but it is NOT true. I suspect you might be looking at the Peruvian Amazon population, but you did not specify in the video (on the contrary - you specifically refer to the entire amazon).

@@petrus9067 that's what I was thinking. I mean surviving a few hours can be quite challenging in the amazonas, but, as far as we know, she just managed to avoid any dangerous animal while staying near or in the river most of the time. I guess there were several aligators, snakes etc. which had her in their sight, not to mention all the other creatures mother nature has to offer

Wow , that's what I call an adventure. Huge kudos to the girl , no real luck here , physical probability for surviving the fall thru the jungle canopy then simple human "will to survive" until probability kicks in again with the loggers turning up. The important thing always is the " I don't want to die so I'm not going to die" mindset. Imagine their joy when her and dad were reunited ❤️.

Imagine knowing that your mom suddenly became terrified about the sudden turbulence and then a split moment later, the plane disintegrates and you plunge into the jungle, if you were still conscious at that point. That's some nightmare fuel shit if I have to say, your mom just beside you, then 2 seconds later, boom, open sky around you.

What this video doesn't mention is that Juliane already had pretty extensive survival training due to her parents' jobs. The average person who survived this probably would have died a few days after.

Yep, thousands of occurences of lightning strike on airplanes (on average each plane is hit 1 per year according to wiki) but only 3 crashes caused by this event in the entire aviation history. So LADA is just one the 3 extremely unlucky flight.
