In my view, this man is not only an icon of American rock, but also an inspiring example of humility, a man that put his love of family over money, .... someone wise enough to know that in order to enjoy life, you have to smile easily and allow yourself to enjoy the moment. Thank you Mr. Seger.

One thing that stands out to me about Bob Seger's fan base is that is is very diverse. I saw him in the 90's at the Zoo Amphitheatre in OKC. The crowd ranged from cowboys to bikers, from metalheads to pop fans. The best thing was that we all sang along! Bob is not only a great rocker but also just a great guy.

I was in Hollywood in the 70's,at Two Guys From Italy, standing in line to buy a piece of Pizza.I was about 18 or so. I turned around and looked right into the face of Bob Seger. He was in line right behind me,wearing a dark blue baseball cap that said "Peppermint Patty", I said "I like your hat!" and smiled at him. I knew who he was,but I didnt think about that! I was zeroed in on his hat.lol. He put it on my head and said "It fits you better." and smiled back at me. A small moment of joy for both of us. Then they called my number for my Pizza slice and I left. I wore his cap forever. He's just such a great guy.

I have seen dozens of concerts, and his show is easily one of the best. He can play 2 dozen amazing songs, have 2 encores, and still have several other original songs that you wanted to hear. The entire band is exceptional. (I bought a saxophone after seeing Alto Reed live a few years back, [harder than it looks, and I still don't play well]). Bob is one of the best songwriters of all time, and I'm glad he's still doing it. Rock and Roll Never Forgets - Rock On!!

My fathers favorite band was CCR, we’d be going to work listening to Cosmo Factory every morning, my father was a painting contractor) I worked with & for him since I was 12. My father was born in 1932. When Bob Seger came out with Night Moves & Live Bullet, we became huge fans. When I saw Bob in the 90’s when I lived in Olympia Washington for one of the 5 or 6 times I saw him perform, my father who lived in San Jose California took my mom to see Bob on the same tour when he came to Oakland. We talked on the phone about the concert for a long time! My father also liked Barbara Streisand. When he was dying of cancer in 1990, I was at my parents house, someone started to play Barbra Streisand music, my one time ex fiancé, who has stayed close to my family to this day, the girl who got an awesome pic of Bob at a concert in around 1977 or so, that Bob signed for me 30 years later, walked in the house to see my dad! He couldn’t talk & died the next morning! Dana heard the Barbara Streisand music playing. She walked over & said Pops doesn’t want to hear this!!! She put Bob Seger, Night Moves on I believe! I’ll never forget the smile on my fathers face when the Bob Seger music started. I thank you Bob Seger, my father passed listening to your music with a smile on his face! Sheesh!!! (Tears)! Thank You BOB SEGER!!!

3:40 Seriously Gayle King? You're going to interrupt his story about the song he wrote for his wife to ask your next question? That's interview etiquette 101. As I mentioned in an related post, there is no way that she could have come by her job honestly. Oprah pulled some strings to get her in the door and she shows, each time she's on the air, that she is a dimwit goof. IT'S BOB SEGER!!!
