Brilliant ancestral mind. Knowledge was once passed by word of mouth. I love this authenticity. He was also a straight A student. Still it's funny how he needs to be reminded of his work.

Lil Wayne is a legend and as more time goes by it’s clear that people are starting to appreciate him for who he is. I remember in 🇬🇧 high school and we had posters of Cash Money from the Source in our art folders and on our bedroom wall. I am 39 now and that was 98/99 so it’s unbelievable how long he has been relevant.

When I was young in high school he was blowin up and as a metal head white kid who also listened to rap thought he was a bit of a poser but over the years he’s built massive respect in my mind. We only saw so much of musicians back then, now with modern times there is videos and interviews of everyone and you can get to know the person more. ☮️

I actually totally relate to this comment. I grew up with lil Wayne in his prime. "Fire man" was when I was middle school. His younger days. Then Nicki came into the picture in my high school days I remember the song "high school" lol. But then he started doing some rock. And although I love those songs, I kinda thought "wtf is he doing?" too lol. Poser a little bit. But I already loved him so much. But now, years later, I love him for it cause he didn't vere from the path like I thought he was about to with the rock, and now I respect him more for it bc it shows his versatility ❤

Also, I agree social media like KZbin helps to see the other side of them.. and his other side is perfect. Not exactly how I expected him to be 😂 he's way more humble than I would've thought. Sry, just a big Weezey fan. 😂

@@TheBambiiVerse yeah totally hear ya. He’s a cool guy and looking back, I felt awkward listing to hip hop and rap as a long haired rocker. I see the cross over now since he has an appreciation for rock. Cool how my understanding has shifted since then.

Really hard to pick a GOAT in this game, damned near impossible (unlike the NBA where it's apparent to about 99% of folks). But we know who should be in the discussion even if we can't agree on who is at the apex. Could we actually say that somebody from a more current generation is better than some of the founding fathers of the genre because they've taken it to a different level? That's hard to do considering that there was no game and these innovators created the game and pushed through so it wouldn't die so that later generations had something to work with. I think the best you could do is to have a combined goat and grab somebody from each generation '80s '90s and '2000's.
