After having a crush on him in her childhood, the now grown up Arduchess Maria Theresa meets Francis Stephen, the Duke of Lorraine, again when he returns to her father the Emperor's court in Vienna.
Episode 1
'Maria Theresia' tells the story of the teenager and young adult years of Maria Theresa of Austria, Holy Roman Empress, Queen of Hungary and Bohemia, one of the most famous Habsburg rulers and the only female one.
