Per the APA rules a clean hot on a ball without the intention of pocketing the object ball os considered defensive play or at least thats what my captain told me when i played. I just double checked the rules to make sure i was right and there isnt anything in the rules that defines safety play/defensive plays 😅

Around 50 minutes you're talking about the safety on the 2ball, yes that would be the play but using top not draw so you nestle the cue ball up behind the stripe cutting off the angle for a kick shot. Using pocket speed of course.

4:30 I'm not sure that this wasn't a foul. Cue ball hits the rail before contact and it didn't look like the one ever hit the rail after contact.

I'm not sure either but with the camera angle sometimes it can be misleading. The one could be on the rail but we can't know for sure from this vantage point, but if it isn't then yes that would be a foul. 🫡

Interesting. So it's not a foul if he moves another ball illegally? I was basically wondering why he played again, and why Zipp didn't get a ball in hand for the foul on moving the 1 ball.

@ifraadsyed534 No its not really a foul. Basically, you just let the other player decide if he wants to leave it where it was moved to, or if they want to move it back. So really they grt to put it back how they felt it was which is kind of an advantage. But considering he barely moved, I'm sure Zipp wasn't worried about it.
