Limp Bizkit - Boiler Lyrics: Looks like I'm gonna do everything myself Maybe I could use some help but hell, You want something done right, you gotta do it yourself Maybe life is up and down but my life's been (what?) Till now I crawled up your butt somehow and that's when things got turned around I used to be alive Now I feel pathetic and now I get it What's done is done you just leave it alone and don't regret it But sometimes, some things turn into dumb things And that's when you put your foot down. Why did I have to go and meet somebody like you? (like you) Why did you have to go and hurt somebody like me? (like me) How could you do somebody like that? (like that) Hope you know that I'm never coming back (never coming back) Looks like I'm gonna do everything myself (everything myself) Maybe I could use some help but hell, If you want something done right, you just do it yourself (got it?) Maybe life is up and down but my life's been (what?) Till now (got it) I crawled up your butt somehow (got it) And that's when shit got turned around (got it) I used to be alive, I'm so pathetic but now I get it, what's done is done I know you, just leave it alone and don't regret it But sometimes some things turn into dumb things And that's when you put your foot down. Why did I have to go meet somebody like you? Why did you have to go hurt somebody like me? How could you do somebody like that? Hope you know that I'm never comin' back Why did I have to go meet somebody like you? Why did you have to go hurt somebody like me? How could you do somebody like that? Hope you know that I'm never comin' back Depending on you is done, giving to you is done No more eating, no sleeping, no living, it's all just more giving to you and I'm done Depending on you is done, the giving to you is done No more reaching, no sleeping, no living, it's all just more giving to you and I'm done The hiding from you is done, the lying from you is done No more eating, no sleeping, no living, it's all just more giving to you and I'm done Why did I have to go meet somebody like you? I still have strong feelings about this song to this day. Today I am 35 years old, but when I was 16 I used to listen to LB a lot and felt like a victim of my own actions, immature in relation to my peers, I suffered a lot with the consequences of this but thank God there was a small power of reflection within me. Life can be an apprenticeship or a prison, it depends on you, reflect on your actions. Feel good about what you do and use it to evolve in general, be better today than yesterday, this is more important than you think. I honestly don't know why I came here to write this, I rarely comment on YT but I felt a need. I apologize for sounding like a shithead to some. Stay with God. LB is part of my life, I just thank you!

I can tell that you are confused. It's not this era that particularly sucks : it's just adulthood. You miss when you were young and completely careless, naive and ingenuous... not the 2000s per se, which were in no way better than other decades... You're going to be alright. But you need to accept this truth : we all get blinded by a fake sense of nostalgia. Exact same for your parents before you, and your grandparents before them... For many people, the 2000s sucked big time and they wanted the 80s and 90s back... Point is, it's always easier to spit on the present and idealize the past, than to work on changing your life, the world, the present... But most of us would rather have a shit job, debts, tons of useless responsibilities and complain, than act for real on their inner misery...
@justalonesoul58253 жыл бұрын
@alien house LOL. Like it wasnt the case 10, 20, 30, 50 years ago. Your grandparents were telling the same about the music your parents were listening to, and the same with your own parents. Take some distance, my friend, and dont become a jaded and bitter nostalgic. Cheers!

Wes Borland is one of the best guitarist in my opinion . He inspired me a lot. I met him face to face when he toured INDIA in 2006. Feel so nostalgic for that era of Nu-Metal/Metal bands. (SOAD, POD, KORN, RATM, DEFTONES, etc) Man, life was tough back then also but we had these bands who can take our worry in an instinct . Today's musician with their DJ sets , I feel nothing but sorry for them.

Yeah, no thanks to Durst's huge ego - seriously, who the fuck wants to his shitty 13 year old'esq lyrics over those amazing baselines and guitar licks? Let's not forget John Otto was pretty decent on drums and Lethal brought that Nu-Metal flavor to it, the icing as it were. I used to think Limpbizkit were dope but as I've gotten older and into heavier shit I realise Durst ruined this band. $3bill is still badass though and Rearranged is still a great song.
@deathbyinternet86128 жыл бұрын
fhhh you realise you're talking about the frontman/lead singer of a band, right? OF COURSE he's what made the band big, doesn't change the fact he's also the main thing that ruined the band. But saying he's iconic is a slap to the face of people like Tupac, Kurt Cobain, Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon, Dr Dre, David Bowie, Syd Barrett etc etc. the list goes on and trust me, Fred Durst isn't on that list; he's nowhere fucking near it! Iconic LOL... meh yourself, you silly twat I'm literally crying from laughing at you right now!
