Lincoln Town Car Guy Struggles with the Left Turn Signal... Light Bulb is Working!

This is a strange problem - the bulb is working, but it's not flashing when left turn signal is on...
What's wrong with this thing?

I had an issue identical to the one in this video "Lincoln Town Car: Crazy Headlight and Turn Signal Issues Solved" on my '07 Town Car, turns out it was a bad connection on the ground pin (thick black wire, middle pin) from the headlight module to the plug. Shined up the tab and the slot with a toothpick, bent the slot in so it was tight again, worked immediately. Not quite the issue you have, but I'd check the wires and the connections, wiring diagram in the video might help narrow down the issue.

Don't drive at night. There is a flasher module.

Did you try new bulbs? I know they worked but still worth a try.

I only had 1 bulb and did replace it

Hey my friend I would try just replacing that bulb one more time to see if it was a defective light bulb that happens sometimes and I know those Lincolns do go through light bulbs really quick I've had to replace my tail lights both of them in each side cuz there's two in each side I've had to replace them at least three times since I've owned it at first time I just replaced the one bulb and then the second one would go out not too long after that so now when I replace it since they come to in a pack I just replace both of them even if the one ain't burned out I just replace them both and I've had good luck that way and also headlights it does go through headlights quick I think because of the daytime running lights or something it just does go through light bulbs or they make them cheap nowadays one of the two?

You could try contact cleaner in the bulb socket. My guess is either the wiring in the housing or the connection itself went bad. Those Chinese aftermarket parts are not known for their quality and reliability. You might try a new housing on the left if it bothers you. I personally would have bought OEM, even though they are more expensive you get much better quality.

Generally speaking, a fast flash usually indicates a bad bulb on the affected side.

Yes, but all bulbs are fine, just not flashing front/left

I have the same thing on my 03. I still haven't figured it out but one comment said one of the two bulbs in the rear lights could be burnt or so. I'll check. But if you already figured it out, please let us know.

I have not, bulb was replaced, but still out... I just drive without it

2:28 you have to do it so often because you are touching the bulbs with bare hands. Use gloves. The oils in your fingers shorten the life of the bulbs

There are 2 bulbs in tail lights. Make sure they are both working. Last time I told you one was out...not sure if you fixed it and can't see in this video due to the sun

Thanks, this time, all bulbs are working fine - just not flashing left in the front

@@VitaliyKofman with the fast flash on left side it's a bad bulb...if both rears are working try replacing front again...do not let skin touch the glass bulb

@@VitaliyKofman the bulb can as you say...work fine but when it's not flashing can be bad...just like you can have a headlight work on high beam...but not on low beam!

Just replace the whole housing. I ended up selling it with the problem still there

Hey man im going through the same thing right now im changing the turn signal/ windshield wiper switch as soon my package arrives tomorrow hopefully this solves the issue. and did you fix your issue?

Mine seems to work intermittently, so I left it alone :)

4:45 do you have the wrong bulb by chance?

put the bulb from the passenger side in and see if it blinks and if the new bulb doesn't blink on the passenger side. My guess is you have the wrong bulb

It's the 2nd bulb in the same package when i replaced it last year and it used to blink

@@VitaliyKofman strange. Did you try swapping sides to see if the one that works works on the driver side? That way you'll know if it's a bulb issue or a wiring issue.
