Linda Ronstadt is the greatest, most versatile female vocalist of her generation.

Lots of people talk about her voice and they're right. I'd like to mention another reason I love her. She was a star at the 'production' of music'. I'm not just talking about her voice, I'm talking about the the choice of instruments, who is playing them, the pacing, the visuals etc. . The entire product was her work.

From her 2000 album "A Merry Little Christmas"--and a true gem. So many of Linda's album tracks have been left undiscovered by reactors eager to get big numbers from her most-known hits. I applaud Alex for giving this one some airtime.

Great country artist from the seventies. Blue Bayou and It's so easy are other great songs of her.

She wasn’t strictly country. She was also rock, pop, folk, blues, punk/new wave, torch songs, Latin/mariachi. She sang in so many styles

She sang it all with beauty and grace.

legend Joni Mitchell wrote this but Linda's cover is def the best.

Linda Ronstadt was a favorite of mine in the seventies, when I bought many of her albums and saw her live. This is the first time I've heard this song, and the first thing I thought of was that I would love to hear Angelina Jordan sing it. Maybe on her next Christmas album.

it would be interesting to hear AJ sing this....

It is great. But, Joni is not as good a singer as Linda Ronstadt.

JONI wrote a beautiful song but their voices are apples and oranges. Joni was never the singer Linda is as not many singers are.

This is a really obscure Linda song to do. It’s not on any of her albums . I think this song was recorded when she was older and was starting to lose her voice. Please do more better known stuff by her from her young days! Like in the 70s
@charlesrubio765011 ай бұрын
More better?? The songs you are probably thinking of like "Blue Bayou" Desperado, are all over the internet. So one reaso I chose this one, like her live performance of "Down So Low" which is one of my favorites English singing songs from her. Alex didn't choose this song, so don't criticize him for playing it! It was me as I wanted to showcase Linda, on one of the last albums she sung on before her illness I am a fan of hers from the get go, when she was with the Stone Ponys and their hit "A Different Drum". So I hope you forgive me for asking and paying Alex to react to such an obscure song from her. MY BAD!

@@charlesrubio7650 this song doesn’t really “showcase Linda” very well. Her voice is a little weak here, and she sounds much older. I wouldn’t pick this song for someone to listen to when there are so many Linda songs that are far better. This songs doesn’t suit her voice that great. You must not have heard many of her albums at all, if this is the song you choose. Better to choose something off Heart Like a Wheel, or off Simple Dreams, Prisoner in Disguise. Any album, really.

@@charlesrubio7650 No need to apologize--for true fans of Linda, this is a treat!

What nonsense. This is off her 2000 Christmas album and it is just as good as anything she has done. The album also features incredible choral singing. I am tired of reactors doing the same songs like Despardo, Blue Bayou, and Long, Long Time.

@@randyventresca4152 in 2000 she was in mid 50s. Out of her prime. Still sounds “good”, but not quite the same fullness and power as in her 20s. Linda even said herself that she noticed something wrong with her voice starting as early as 2000. Not saying it’s bad at all, but when I want to hear Linda, or introduce someone else to Linda, I don’t turn to her 2000s material as my first choice
