He’d have answered that call and many more too, fact. Such a good soul. RIP

The fact that this was taped only 6 days before his passing makes it unreal... the smiles on his face, the company he enjoyed. He was litterally in the moment and i can only hope that in this little amount of time, he was free from his demons. Pay attention to your friends and the people in your life, they may look happy, but actually, on the brink of losing themselves to their own demons..

I'm so grateful to have seen him as my first concert. Truly and artist and professional. I absolutely love the studio recordings and productions, but him live is honestly a step up. It was so raw and I feel like it just added an extra level of emotions that's studio releases can't. I miss him so much tbh. His lyrics and ways of expressing are what helped me so many times in my lowest days. To lose 2 of my favorites weeks apart was hard. He was actually supposed to start another tour again a week after his suicide. I remember I religiously followed the requirements to get the top fan ranking for my state everyday for months. Top fans had access to the best tickets. The minute tickets were on sale, I snuck to the bathroom at school so I could be first in line. I had saved up all I could for a year to buy my dad, sister, and myself tickets. Sorry for the rambling. I just miss Chester. I actually get sad about it all over again at least once a month. Depression isn't fair. I hate it. I hope you are well now that I've hijacked your comment. Sorry

@@Mike-vj2lc Belting is a very sustainable technique when done safely. If you are "pushing" your voice and damaging your vocal cords, you're likely not using a proper belting technique. I'm not saying what he does isn't impressive, but that he's likely built the skills and technique to do so without hurting himself, and those are techniques that can often be learned with efforts and practice.

Honestly, I wonder if he really knew and was planning for it. Because his methods were so simple and easily accessible and he was drunk on his dead best friend’s birthday… it seemed like it may have been a boiling point decision, not a plan. This theory is compounded by the fact that there was no note. It’s clear he was really in a dark place for a while but I doesn’t seem like he knew he was gonna do it until he did it.

Chester didn't just up and do this, he was suffering for a 'long, long, long time' ... your ignorance, although I'm jealous of it, is a further push on people that battle in the abyss of depression/anxiety/insomnia/torment to which there is no bottom... I promise you, WITHOUT A DOUBT, he used his family, friends, and fans as a way to keep going for a long ass time... to where eventually, even that safety valve of 'no way could I leave them behind' becomes numb... it's like being covered in gasoline and set on fire, then asked to not jump in a pool because it will hurt the people swimming in it... eventually impulse takes over... it's like a paradox of the central nervous system, almost a paradoxical 'survival mechanism' ....and not everyones depression/anxiety/torment is the same... just because you've had it, don't assume it's that level for everyone else... just like a basic headache to a hellish 24 hour migraine, there is levels to that shit man.... ... if you know, you know... if you don't, you just don't ... sad he lost his battle, but his music keeps me fighting mine... ... he shared his demons for decades so others could relate... he lost his life... Good advice Steve..I' be both worked in adult mental health support services & been a client needing help on quite a few occasions due to depression..I.think just making that initial phone call & saying ' I think.I need to talk' ..getting over that bridge is a huge step ..just so happy to see more men especially young men at last talking about their feelings ,a group that's particularly a suicide risk statistically .More money certainly needs to be pumped into mental health services & getting people to open up from an early age will create far healthier kids x

I can help bronging up his name at random times to spread his memory to others. What a gift. And believe me, im no saint! Im literallu a fuck up, thats done nothing but fuck up my entire life.! But... thats in the past, and i cant control that!

You can see the passion while he performs this song. You wouldn't think just a week later he would be gone. Life can be overwhelming no matter who you are. It's tough to talk about suicide openly because when people want to talk about how they are considering it, in the back of their head but don't because they are not sure yet, and if they do talk about it they could lose their job for fear of being unreliable or their employer thinking they are to stressed out so they will lose their shifts. Some are just uncomfortable letting people know they are that unhappy to the point that they are thinking of ending their life. It's hard to explain. Often I have to put on a fake smile a lot of the time cause deep down I feel miserable and I'm just looking for a few scraps of happiness to keep me going. I hope everyone can overcome those feelings

I’ve watched this a lot but my favorite thing is how Chester makes Ken feel. He might not know all the words but from the start the joke is he hates mike and love Chester and by the end he loves mike but I always though it was nice how ken just seems to be comfortable. My other favorite thing is how much power Chester sings with. Some parts of this are my favorite versions of how he sings numb. I’m 26 now and it’ll always be a regret that I didn’t beg my entire family to let me and my cousin see them live. They came once during a time when my family was actually doing well, one of the only times. My mom about two years ago said she’d have paid for us to see then no matter what and it just makes me sad to know that. I never wanted to ask for anything, but 30 bucks for us to see them live in the grand scheme seems like a no brainer. Rest In Peace Chester and long love LP

It’s always traumatic when any musicians die. Especially if they’re from a band you’re really into. But I can hand on heart say I don’t think I’ll ever get over the death of Chester Bennington. He and myself related so much as suffering in silence is concerned. I have many mental health issues and I never reach out to anybody. I live in my head so I am able to stop myself doing anything I would regret. But I choke everytime I hear his voice. Especially “ one more light”. R.I.P Chester. You truly had the voice of an angel. I tried to take my life before and have had such a bad life since. Kinda like punishment I’ve been told. I now go to a spiritualist circle in a small church when I can. I started doing poems for myself, that helped me a lot, started showing them to the world(well the germans at least) on instagram and I saw so many people feel the same. Writing comments on yt also made me realise there are so many more people struggling with all different stuff. And many may never understand, but there are ones who do. Hope you find your inner self/peace, your questions within answers. May the spiritualcircle help you, but always remember : you do everything for yourself only🍀 it's the YOU which counts in the end, so stay true to yourself, and make yourself a better tomorrow. Chester, your voice, your lyrics, and your music made me feel seen and understood when I was young and didn’t understand why I felt so dark and terrible, and even after getting mental health diagnoses and understanding the lows I experienced then and continue to experience to this day, I always felt like I belonged and was safe with loved ones when I turned Linkin Park on. You gave me some power back by letting me know that I wasn’t alone, and you helped me stare my demons in the eye and not let them overcome me. My heart is broken, knowing that no one could save you from your demons the way you saved me and so many others. Rest in power and peace, beautiful soul. All of my love ❤

I grew up listening to their music. It saved me from doing stupid things in my teenage period, still remember closing door in my room and listening to Faint or Breaking the Habbit which made me feel huge relief . Compare it to teenage music these days like ' gucci gang' etc . I promised myself when one of my kids will be going thru some tought time i will send them my old playlist :)

No celebrity death has ever hit as hard as Chester's. His voice, his words, his music helped and still helps so many of us to get through life-i just wish there was someone in his life who could have saved him, to think of this wonderful man going through so much pain and torment at the end just hurts beyond belief. Do you think he knew what he meant to us all? I hope so 💔

I watched them live in Johannesburg, I'm pretty sure he knew. Sadly, that can make a depressed person feel even worse. They have everything, and they should be happy, so why aren't they...

@@theonlyone992 people didn't like One More Light? Seriously? What the hell is wrong with people? It's a fantastic album. I'd honestly put it top 3 behind Hybrid Theory and Meteora.
