It was so raw and I feel like it just added an extra level of emotions that's studio releases can't. I miss him so much tbh. His lyrics and ways of expressing are what helped me so many times in my lowest days. To lose 2 of my favorites weeks apart was hard. He was actually supposed to start another tour again a week after his suicide. I remember I religiously followed the requirements to get the top fan ranking for my state everyday for months. Top fans had access to the best tickets. The minute tickets were on sale, I snuck to the bathroom at school so I could be first in line. I had saved up all I could for a year to buy my dad, sister, and myself tickets. Sorry for the rambling. I just miss Chester. I actually get sad about it all over again at least once a month.

You can see the passion while he performs this song. You wouldn't think just a week later he would be gone. Life can be overwhelming no matter who you are. It's tough to talk about suicide openly because when people want to talk about how they are considering it, in the back of their head but don't because they are not sure yet, and if they do talk about it they could lose their job for fear of being unreliable or their employer thinking they are to stressed out so they will lose their shifts. Some are just uncomfortable letting people know they are that unhappy to the point that they are thinking of ending their life. It's hard to explain. Often I have to put on a fake smile a lot of the time cause deep down I feel miserable and I'm just looking for a few scraps of happiness to keep me going. I hope everyone can overcome those feelings

Good advice Steve..I' be both worked in adult mental health support services & been a client needing help on quite a few occasions due to depression..I.think just making that initial phone call & saying ' I think.I need to talk' ..getting over that bridge is a huge step ..just so happy to see more men especially young men at last talking about their feelings ,a group that's particularly a suicide risk statistically .More money certainly needs to be pumped into mental health services & getting people to open up from an early age will create far healthier kids x

Chester, your voice, your lyrics, and your music made me feel seen and understood when I was young and didn’t understand why I felt so dark and terrible, and even after getting mental health diagnoses and understanding the lows I experienced then and continue to experience to this day, I always felt like I belonged and was safe with loved ones when I turned Linkin Park on. You gave me some power back by letting me know that I wasn’t alone, and you helped me stare my demons in the eye and not let them overcome me. My heart is broken, knowing that no one could save you from your demons the way you saved me and so many others. Rest in power and peace, beautiful soul. All of my love ❤

It’s always traumatic when any musicians die. Especially if they’re from a band you’re really into. But I can hand on heart say I don’t think I’ll ever get over the death of Chester Bennington. He and myself related so much as suffering in silence is concerned. I have many mental health issues and I never reach out to anybody. I live in my head so I am able to stop myself doing anything I would regret. But I choke everytime I hear his voice. Especially “ one more light”. R.I.P Chester. You truly had the voice of an angel. And will always be a massive inspiration to anyone lucky enough to be in the era of Linkin Park. 😢😢

@@antaraghosh245 thanks so much. I don’t think I could ever do that to be truthful. I think I have a trace of autism as when I was young it was kinda unheard of so it was swept under the carpet so to speak. I guess living in my own head has saved me from trying to hurt myself as it gives me too much self consciousness as far as thinking “ we’ll hold on “ am I gonna go to a worse place. I tried to take my life before and have had such a bad life since. Kinda like punishment I’ve been told. I now go to a spiritualist circle in a small church when I can. Life has become a lot clearer since. Thank you so much for your concern. I appreciate that.

Writing comments on yt also made me realise there are so many more people struggling with all different stuff. And many may never understand, but there are ones who do. Hope you find your inner self/peace, your questions within answers. May the spiritualcircle help you, but always remember : you do everything for yourself only🍀 it's the YOU which counts in the end, so stay true to yourself, and make yourself a better tomorrow.
