Chris & Chaz they both struggled with similar demons. I'm sure it gave each of them strength when they saw each other pushing through each day and trying to stay positive. I'm sure it impacted Chester tremendously when Chris gave into his overwhelming depression. I hope all people start taking depression and mental illness more seriously and talk openly about it. I'm not sure that Chris Cornell was on the kinds of meds that would help him effectively and I don't know whether Chester was being treated with helpful meds either. They were both amazing people and artists and will always be greatly missed.

Depression has nothing to do with believing or seeing or feeling the appreciation. He knew all the love from his fans and he really enjoyed it. But depression pulls you down, you are drowning and you are not able to defend bad feelings. It’s nothing you do concisely, it’s overwhelming you completely. Why are so many people writing LINKEN park... xD, also chester had been struggling with depressions for a very long time, and he was in a really bad place since 2016 (he actually tried to kill himself in 2016 and some times before) then a good friend of his died, then his bestfriend chris cornell too, and i guess it was too much to take :( Or ofc there's the theory that he along with chris were killed by chesters true father, who people say might be john podesta, because they were fighting to help children, while podesta as famously known mightve been involved in children trafficking... so ig u decide which one actually happenef :)

"In The End" [Chester Bennington:] It starts with one [Mike Shinoda:] One thing I don't know why It doesn't even matter how hard you try Keep that in mind, I designed this rhyme To explain in due time [Chester Bennington:] All I know [Mike Shinoda:] All I know time is a valuable thing Watch it fly by as the pendulum swings Watch it count down to the end of the day The clock ticks life away [Chester Bennington:] It's so unreal [Mike Shinoda:] It's so unreal, didn't look out below Watch the time go right out the window Trying to hold on, did-didn't even know I wasted it all just to watch you go [Chester Bennington:] Watch you go [Mike Shinoda:] I kept everything inside and even though I tried, it all fell apart What it meant to me will eventually be a memory of a time when I tried so hard [Chester Bennington:] I tried so hard And got so far But in the end It doesn't even matter I had to fall To lose it all But in the end It doesn't even matter [Mike Shinoda:] One thing, I don't know why It doesn't even matter how hard you try Keep that in mind, I designed this rhyme To remind myself how I tried so hard [Chester Bennington:] I tried so hard [Mike Shinoda:] In spite of the way you were mocking me Acting like I was part of your property Remembering all the times you fought with me I'm surprised it got so far [Chester Bennington:] Got so far [Mike Shinoda:] Things aren't the way they were before You wouldn't even recognize me anymore Not that you knew me back then But it all comes back to me in the end [Chester Bennington:] In the end [Mike Shinoda:] You kept everything inside and even though I tried, it all fell apart What it meant to me will eventually be a memory of a time when I tried so hard [Chester Bennington:] I tried so hard And got so far But in the end It doesn't even matter I had to fall To lose it all But in the end It doesn't even matter I've put my trust in you Pushed as far as I can go For all this There's only one thing you should know I've put my trust in you Pushed as far as I can go For all this There's only one thing you should know I tried so hard And got so far But in the end It doesn't even matter I had to fall To lose it all But in the end It doesn't even matter

You can see Mike knows how much this means to Chester. All he wants is his friend to know how much he is loved and it feels like Chester never really knew or believed it. You can see as well how grateful Mike is to the fans for showing Chester just how much appreciation and love they have for him and the band. The whole situation Its just so sad🥺🥺🥺
@ilsefraeyman74732 жыл бұрын
fully correct ! I think Chester realised what an impact he had on people, but it put a lot of pressure on his both fragile and strong shoulders. I think it scared him, he felt as if he wasn't able to live up to a certain standard certain people set for him. Although we as fans always loved (and will love) him for who he was. A gentle, caring and humble soul, a loving father who openly spoke about his struggles...Struggles, traumas and persistent demons he unfortunately had to deal with since childhood/youth. Such a pity he took the decision to end it all...

There is an interview where Chester explains very well what goes on in his head. It's very sad, but tremendously true and sincere. "It's like there's another Chester inside of me telling me I'm worthless, that I'm an idiot, dragging me down" "When I sing in a crowd I don't see everyone who appreciates and loves me, I only see the one person in the crowd who gives me the wrong looks, and my mind goes into a crisis and I ask myself Why don't you like me? Why don't you do you appreciate me? This is depression." From these words of his you can understand why.

Linkin Park was literally everything to me when I was a teenager, I was alone and bullied and abused, just a completely lost soul. I didn't have all their songs, only a couple that my sister had downloaded and I found on the computer. I'd put my headphones on and turn on the visualizer on media player and see, hear and feel their music. I can't even describe the feeling it gave me. It gave me chills though. I guess I'd say it made me feel stronger inside, validated, and not completely alone. Chester was my loud, strong voice when I had none, his passionate expression of self empowered me during my hardest times. My favorite song was Numb. This looks like it was a lot of fun for everyone and meaningful, just such a great video

I’m absolutely certain Chester sang for you. He sang for all those of us having a hard time, being marginalized and excluded, for the depressed and suicidal, just like he was having hard times in his life and was feeling the way we do. He’s still a voice for us though. I’m glad you’re here. Keep running cause it always matters.

It's in the middle of the work day, threw this on in a moment of procrastination. One minute in and I'm balling my eyes out. My childhood and emotional struggles from almost two decades ago all coming back to me. Hearing everyone around him singing just shows me how much this song and band meant to so many people too. I'm not religious but I thank life for bringing these beautiful people together to create music that's helped us all. I hope Chester felt our love..
@brucehansen79492 жыл бұрын
You should thank God (Yah) for the gift of life otherwise you wouldnt exist and you don't need religion to have a relationship with God almighty, in fact religion separates people from God cuz all religions are bogus, even christians don't believe their own bibles which is the truth. Read the bible everyday my friend and have faith, all them childhood struggles would be healed, understand he tries and tests us as it's not automatic to get to heaven just cuz someone believes there's a God. I pray this message finds you well and you aren't all butt hurt from it. I'm an Iraq war vet suffered from PTSD and anxiety way too much over the last 15 years but Yah (God) has and is healing me and I don't deal with issues nearly like I used to. I am much happier knowing I have a God I can trust in and not fake religions. I was an atheist for several years then I seen enough proof of this world that it's a complete lie and it all goes 100% against the bible which the bible said would happen 2000 years ago. Everything taught today goes against the word of God and now children are terrible sinners by the age of 3 and it's promoted in the world which tells me an evil force exists. So pretty clear to see there has to be 2 sides, a good and an evil side. Peace out brother. Wake up from the world of lies like I did. You'll be set free

to me, this is their greatest performance edit: as I come back to this again and again, I try to put myself in Chester's shoes even though I know it's frivolous. Still, I like to think for a moment that it must feel good for him to show up at some rando subway station and have so many people sing along; not a concert where it might be expected, but a freaking subway station.
