Jelly Roll Technique on Panel Quilt~and It's MUMMY approved

This jelly roll technique is brand new - I made it up. Watch my video to see how you can use this easy method to get a great quilt out of your jelly rolls. You will use this for many projects to come.
Panels are smart. They can help you break the spell when your creativity is gone. They can make a quick project when you are running out of time. So watch this video to get some good ideas.
Maybe you don't think your recipients will like them. I've given away several panel quilts and I haven't had one person return them. Panels are now beautiful pieces of art or fun quirky fabric pieces. Halloween panels are especially fun if you like ghosts, and pumpkins and fun spooky trees and clouds.
In this second video in the panel quilt series, we look at panels that are wof (width of fabric) wide; in other words, the panel is 42" wide and less than 42" long. You can use jelly roll strips to make that panel into a quilt. And include a the new 2 1/2" strip quilting technique I came up with.

These are really cute. I like the idea of “grunging” the strips. I think it would be good to cut some of these strips in half so you’d have extra seams and more “grunging” to fray. Inpspired me to get more panels out of my stash! 💚

I think the "mummy strips" is a great idea! Seems like you had a lot of fun with them and that is the best part! I'm making my daughter (well, 2 of the 3) quilts for Christmas (the 3rd is so picky with color scheme that I don't think I will be able hers in time. I have used about 21and 25 fabrics in the other two quilts but have only gotten 6 "approved" from her lol so she will have to wait... unless.. I can find the right panel! I might JUST do that!

I have at least 3 separate piles of fabric yardage for 3 different quits. I also have 2 hand sewn quilts partialy done, one all but finished quilt that needs binding and one In working on all started pre COVID. Did I mention I also crochet and have a few afghans in progress there too.

The Mummy Strips are a fun idea. Snipping them as you go makes it easier to handle. I can imagine them using shorter length strips so you get more fringe. I may have to try that on a Comfy (charity) quilt for kids.
