You have to think about it, they haven’t killed anyone as far as we know, the guy on the basketball hoop was just some guy that pissed off those two guys and they only attack you after Alex and Joel pop their ball. Not to mention that if they were under the jerseys influence, they would have either A) be killing everyone below them, B) be dead by trying to attack everyone below, or C) trying to attack everyone below

You do have to get 8 kills to join, there are no innocent members, but some people wear them and pretend to be members so that the franchise does not attack them. Even then it still sometimes happens.
