Hello Lovlies,
Thank you so much for tuning in to my channel today. The purpose of this video is to provide information about the Liscio Japanese Straightening treatment and how the process works. Before I started getting this treatment, I did a lot of research and from my experience, there wasn’t enough videos online about this treatment. So, I wanted to provide as much information as I can to help others who are interested in getting this treatment done. I am not a hair stylist, nor do I have any licenses or expertise in this. All of the information I am providing is from what I have learned in the process, from my stylist and what I have read online. Any questions you may have, please leave them in the comments below and I will answer them as soon as I can.
Thank you to Clara from Envy Me hair salon for participating in this video and explaining the process of how the Liscio Japanese treatment works.
If you are interested in Envy Me hair salon information, please visit the website:
Envymehair.com
Or you can look it up on Facebook: Envy Me Hair Salon
The stylist who does my hair and was in this video is Clara. Please let her know that you heard about her salon from this video.
I was unable to do this in one video so I had to split it in 2 parts. Which will both be on my KZbin channel.

Thank you for this informative video !! I live very close to that salon and have been thinking for a long time now on whether or not I should do it especially because the Florida humidity doesn’t allow my naturally curly hair to stay pin straight. I would only do Japanese hair straightening if I could color my hair also. Could u get ur hair lightly bleached (ombré) with the Japanese straightening in ur hair ? And how much was it for you to get your roots touched up ? Thank you !

Hello. She has 3 versions of the Japanese treatment. The one I get is the strongest one. The other ones are not permanent so you can probably bleach your hair if you get a milder treatment but I don’t know how long those last. As far as I know, you can still dye your hair but not often. It is not recommended that you use bleachers in your hair if you are getting this treatment because the bleach will cause more damage. A lot of heat is used to do this treatment so it’s already harsh on the hair. The best thing to do would be to get a consultation with the stylist and she will be able to tell you what’s best. Her website is in the description and her phone number is on the website. I dyed my hair a few months before I got the treatment and she told me personally that if I was going to keep dying it I couldn’t get the treatment so i stopped.

Thank you so much for sharing the video. I've done it six month ago and I want to retouch the roots, I was wondering what was the cream that she used for the treated part of your hair? I want to protect the part that I've done before and apply it just to the new roots.

Hello, sorry that it took so long for me to respond. I didn’t see this comment. She uses a hair primer to protect against damage if the solution touches the already processed hair but she didn’t tell me the brand. She said just any hair primer that is made for that purpose. *disclaimer* Please be careful if you’re doing this on your own, you should always be assisted by a professional. You can damage your hair if not done properly.

My hair is relaxed, but still pretty healthy and strong. Would I still be able to get the Japanese hair straightening on it??
@AxiannZisa

No you can’t mix them like that unfortunately. It has to be done on complete Virgin hair. That’s my uneducated answer because I’m not a stylist but that’s what I’ve been told.

Hello, no I’m sorry I live in Florida so I’m not sure where you can get it in California but the way how I found my stylist, I googled Liscio Japanese Hair Straightening near me and then looked on the websites to see who had the most pictures and good reviews. Good luck. I hope you find a good stylist! ❤️

If the mild strength Liscio is used for damaged hair and doesn’t produce as straight of a result, can we go over that same hair later in a future treatment to get it straighter?
@AxiannZisa
@AxiannZisa 4 жыл бұрын
Sara Grewal Hello, to my knowledge no. When I go for my touch ups she only applies the treatment to the new growth. You can’t go over the same hair later because the chemical is strong and can cause even more damage that way. Hope this helps!

With this type of straightener do you have to avoid sulfates and salt water and chlorine. Will the straightener come out faster?
@AxiannZisa
@AxiannZisa 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment. You should a sulfates either way but the straightener does not come out it is permanent. Your roots are the only thing that will resemble your natural curls. But if you use sulfates and too much salt water and chlorine you will likely damage your hair.

Is this for all hair types. My daughter has the thickest a d extremely wild hair. Like I havent not seen nothing like hers. For one. I need to find her a great flat iron or straightener, the one we had broke and it took years to just do half her head. Lol

WideAwake * aww I feel your pain, my hair has broken many combs, blow dryer combs and hair brushes. It can be done on most hair type if the right person is doing it who knows what they are doing. It’s most effective on 3c-4a type hair because when the roots grow out it becomes very hard to managed until you can go back to get your touch up. I had one hair dresser refuse to do my hair because they said it’s too course and the curls are too tight but I found the right person and she does a wonderful job, she didn’t make me feel bad and refuse to help me.

I live in Los Angeles, I would like to know if your hairstylist knows a place where to go get this done by a professional in this area. Also what is the name of the conditioner she uses on your hair during rinsing and the name of the protectant product she uses before the flat iron is used. Thank you for the great video!!

Why would she put an acidic conditioner on to close the cuticle when she’s about to flat iron it to the straight shape? Only after flat iron, do u want to close the cuticle with the neutralizer

@AxiannZisa
@AxiannZisa 3 жыл бұрын
Hello she said it is just a hair primer. She wasn’t specific with which brand but she said any primer that was made for the purpose of protecting the already processed hair just in case any of the solution touches that part of the hair. *disclaimer* please be careful if you are doing this on your own. You should always be assisted by a professional. You can damage your hair if this isn’t done properly.

@@razk1974 4c is the kinkiest form of human hair (typically associated with African/ African American textures). Look up "natural hair chart" on Google and research away. Each form of curl pattern with have a number and letter. I for example, am 4b/4a.
