Well... no, I don't think we should kick our enemies out of the UN, that kind of defeats the purpose, it being a place for dialogue and all that. But reform, I am more open to. I mean Russia is a permanent security council member. Its supposed to be safeguarding peace not using its power to prosecute a war of conquest. It got handed that seat when the USSR dissolved, even if there's 'no mechanism for that' maybe we should revisit that one. Not that Russia is the only one to abuse their security council powers, everybody has. But nobody quite as egregiously as Russia. They have used their veto more times than any of the other four states... though the US is second. Maybe we should revisit the veto altogether, as well. I mean at this point yeah, the UN does not have the ability to fulfill its primary function. Its broken....

@@ashroskell Sure, as long as that review never happens. USSR was granted a place in the security council, not Russia. And there is no procedure for putting in new permanent members. It just happened because people in power decided to make it so, as a gesture of goodwill, which was obviously not reciprocated. Procedure this procedure that. Will is whats missing. So, yeah. At least that, but probably, to make the UN really work again, there would have to additional reform. What that would look like exactly? I don't know. But 4 countries deciding everything? Yeah idk how fair that is. Especially when 2 of them are rivals. Still a recipe for nothing getting done.
