Good idea using the ramp as a back up with the jack to support the trailer. Good thinkin Kevin. You will get a lot of suggestions, so a nice heavy bottle jack will be good to carry and a couple wood lifts are great. Get a 2 x 10 cut 3 lengths 12 inches, 18 inches and 2 foot, stack with glue screws, you can use as a block also great to run one axle up on to help work on the other axle. They stack together I used to try to keep 4 with me and it came in handy often. Love little short legged puppy, Jelly is cute.

Please be careful heading in to Seattle. You are going in to the epicenter of the COV-19 thing. You do not want to get sick or become a symptom-less carrier. Remember, you can pass it to Jelly as well. Once you get the new trailer tires and service the 8+ year old bearings, consider diverting and hunkering down for a while maybe back in Utah. You can use the time to catch up on all of the maintenance for the Step Child. Love the Factor 55 gear. We will be purchasing a kit once we get our Jeep. Hey, wasn't he the guy that grabbed you all at one of the Jeep events to demo the recovery packs ?

I'm one of the people that would not recommend a dually. Yes on road it would add stability but off road diallys suck you can't air down cause the side walls will eat each other and if you pick up a rock between the duals and not realize it your now destroying a side wall on each tire. So if ya get a fat assed dually ya should get super singles just in case ya ever gotta use the truck to recover the jeep

Under inflation is more an issue than tire age. Also never put retreads on your vehicle. You pay more for new virgin rubber but its worth it. Invest in equalizer valves for your dual tires. Such as Cateye brand. Your tires will wear even then. You can find them at most truck stops or semi truck dealerships. Just a heads up.

Final tightening of the lug bolts should only be done manually or with a torque wrench. I have the Dewalt impact driver for my motorhome. I made the mistake of tightening the lugs with the impact. I could not remove the lugs next time. I had to buy a 3:1 torque multiplier. Then had to use a 4ft pipe on the breaker bar. I was just barely able to get the lugs off. You can snug the bolts up with the impact, but final tightening should always be down by hand.

Build a ramp from 2x8 boards. You put it in front or behind the good wheels and then drive forward/back onto the ramp. The axle with good tires lifts the trailer axle with bad tire as you drive on the ramp. Keep the ramp in the under bed box with your straps. A piece of 2” ratchet strap and some screws with fender washers makes a nice handle. Btw. Just put my first set of Patagonia’s on my wife’s Jeep this week and loving them. Hoping to win a set for my Jeep
