There's a definite Japanese sound to the second part of the verse of this song. If it were to be played on a Koto it would really be obvious. I'm sure it's by design and demonstrates Jay's songwriting abilities.

@@conradnal8934 I thought it was a simple affair but after that lyric is makes it seem that the relationship wasn’t entirely consensual, and that’s why the narrator stuck around. Bare in mind this is speculation of a song written 4 years ago, so I’m probably wrong but I like to think about these things

Blast, you're right! Though they're not just the same video, the quality has definitely improved here.So maybe not as impressive as I'd thought, but they do still serve a purpose at least. (And I hadn't heard the song before.)Here's to hoping we'll hear an entirely new song in the future. In the meantime, I still have some old ones to catch up on :D

Gobarn There isn't really a difference between the two. Mexico, Canada and the US are referred to as North America, then there's Central America, and finally South America. To all 3 people refer as "The Americas". Nobody really refers to anything but the US as just America anymore.

@@JayForeman Thank you - I think I was just getting confused by the bass notes as I thought they were on lower strings. You've done a really nice intro which I feel is key to the feel of the song so I'm trying to include those hammer-ons and your strumming pattern as I play. You must have a superhuman pinky finger to get it to the second fret!! Thanks for another great song. I think your bittersweet ones like this and Twingo are some of your best.
