Little Milton had one of the very best and most individual voices in Blues and Soul, and he was quite a funky man as well. But he never really got the recognition he deserved. He had excellent vocal control and expression, though perhaps he lacked the emotional depth of the very very greatest Blues singers. Nonetheless , his music and performances were consistently first rate.
