Just so people don't have to look him up: Wikipedia -> "Pleading guilty to the child sex tourism and child pornography charges the same year, Fogle was sentenced to 15 years and 8 months in federal prison. He remains incarcerated at the Federal Correctional Institution, Englewood as of 2024". Now he's on a prison diet.

Great video. I have to say though (also as a person that works in an NGO in Malawi) I HATE pity stories. I have a basis in science, and I understand the context of statistics. I really don't care about one person crying in a publicity story because I know I don't know the context and I KNOW it is a manipulative story.

Thank you. Assuming you are talking about the same subway Jerad, I would recommend you don’t use him as an example. Yes he lost weight but he is also a criminal serving for his unthinkable crimes against children.

Effective communication includes the totality of the information. Jeffrey Dahmer may have been kind to some neighbors. Bernie Madoff may have given to charities. Donald Trump may have told the truth once. One must consider the WHOLE picture. A turd in the punchbowl does affect the punch.

also jared: 15 years He allegedly paid a 17-year-old girl he met online to engage in sex acts with him during a 2012 visit to New York City. Jared was sentenced on November 19, 2015, to 188 months in prison, which is just over 15 years. He began serving his time at the Federal Correctional Institution, Englewood, in Colorado.

It could all be in my head but the colors of the last message about change looks like the Palestinian flag and if you tried to communicate solidarity indirectly: it was noticed. ❤ The whole world is being bullied to accept injustice but justice is always served.

Well done thanks. Except that i know Jared's story's terribly ending. He has been convicted for child pornography and is regarded these days as a pedophile. You are right, stories stick with us, especially the negative ones. I invite you to find another example that has not fallen from grace.

Jared is only an example she is providing, she is not highlighting how wonderful of a person he is ( which we all know he is not), the speaker is concentrating only on the facts that help to understand what they are demonstrating in the video. I think we can separate one event from the other. Yes Jared is not by any means a good person I totally agree, but the example of the story is valid. That’s the only thing a take from this.

Why are you using jared as an example, do you know: Jared Scott Fogle (/ˈfoʊɡəl/; born August 23, 1977) is an American former spokesman for Subway restaurants. Fogle appeared in Subway's advertising campaigns from 2000 to 2015 until an FBI investigation led to him being convicted of child sex tourism and possessing child pornography.
