Amazing! Just amazing what the Good Lord does to make US grow in times of diversity. I can't tell you how wonderful it is to see how different climates use their growing seasons and the ideas that come from seeing the dreams of other gardeners. I am a master gardener that has been sidelined from 3 back surgeries, this is pure heaven for me. I too have a weed issue in my gardens but not due to being evacuated dear moms!!! Thanks for giving us a peak into your gardening world...and your vision for future seasons of gardening. And God bless you Chelsea for taking time from your own need to "re-nest" after such a long evacuation with your own sweet cutie petuties to give this youtube friend a peek into a world so many of us love and get so much pleasure from...digging in the soil. Looking forward to seeing more videos with your life in full bloom no matter the content. :)

I totally enjoyed the tour of your Nana and Grammys place. It’s beautiful and would definitely definitely love to see an update and the plant that’s by the gate, that she said by June it should have it covered. I think she called it a hops plant. Have never heard of that. Would love to see how that takes off.The kindness of your mom’s neighbors during the fire is unbelievable. Most people would’ve thought that their plate was full enough just having to deal with the fire. But to go to a neighbors house and take care of their garden is beyond the call of being a neighbor beautiful people would love to see them in one of your videos.

Our region is known for being friendly and having good neighbours. I think it comes from hardship.people who’ve had it tough seem to be the ones with the most empathy. They know what it’s like so they step in to make it easier for others. Thanks so much for watching.

When this video showed up in my suggestions I thought .... why would I want to spend 20 minutes watching someone visiting their mom , people I don't know in another country - just why? But, I was bored so I clicked on it. You started talking about the fire. That got my attention and I thought .. oh no, did someone's house burn down? Now I was no longer bored and I was hoping against all hope that either someone's house got saved or a wonderful story would be told about how from the ashes something wonderful was born. Then came the moms. What treasures those 2 are! As the video is coming to a close I was talking to my computer (yep, I do that) saying ... please don't end. I see there's another video where the moms divide perennials. I know how to do that but I don't care - I just want to see the moms. Oh, and I must say that you and your son did a fantastic job on the rock wall. You said your part isn't perfect, well what in life is perfect. I think it is lovely and just right as it can be. New subscriber here. I am enjoying getting to visit with your family. Thank you ~Sherrie

Hey there Shelley and Georgia a few questions have we! We watched the video again together this time and had such a nice experience seeing all of your yard work. We really liked the fact the planters are all different sizes, shapes and elevations. Q #1. Of all the flower beds and pots what percentage are coming back on their own? Q#2. How do you keep the grass trimmed along the border of rocks around your plants? Q#3. Where do you find the interesting items such as the pelican, butterflies, bird baths, lamps, and carved wood bears? Q#4 were all the small trees planted by Dan and Chelsea or have you added to them yourselves? I am moving our chicken coop 10 x 12 foot back to the north of our property and would like to see a video of how you move the garden shed. Your bright colors really look great and inviting! Your special coffee spot will be the spot I head for when we visit...keep up the good work of "art"!
@georgialesley21857 жыл бұрын
Hi there! I can answer a couple of your questions, #1 I think I will leave this one up to Shelley, other than to say that we will have to wait and see what pokes up next year, as this was all planted this year. #2 We both have light weight grass trimmers, that we manage to do the whole yard with, and they work well just going up as close as possible to the rocks. #3 All those things come from different times and different places. Some are old and have sentimental value, the bears belonged to a neighbor of mine, who had bought them from someone selling chain saw animals, but most are from varied places like the drugstore, Walmart, Can Tire. Just have to keep one eye on everything :) #4 The small trees we planted this year. Thanks for your interest and comments, we really are having alot of fun with it all! Next year will be even better and more! :)

Well I certainly enjoyed this adventure. The sobering sense of how close the fires came really stuck with me. I don't know where to start in the tour of their home and yard. The colors are striking for sure love the canary yellow door. That teal? Color around the deck banding was nice. Lots of salutes for all the hard work evidently going into this place. Ben, come down some time and Bob join him I have 100s of feet of flat rock path to lay. I like the planning ahead by the ladies with climbing roses, hos etc. Questions would be did all the natural rock bordering the beds come from the property? Also, did they lay fabric or plastic under that grave led rock way? The amount of work is incredible to end up in such a great place to live and visit. I have a question from the video for your mum Chelsea...Is the MCP able to be used by other people? So inviting a tour thx Chelsea! Kate, nice job on the camera too!

Hi Brian, thank for taking notice of the colors etc, yup that is a shade of teal that we used for trim etc.We also used pops of other colors, such as lime green and red....we both love color... :) Re the rocks, for the border around the perennial garden, Ben got the rocks from somewhere other than here, the rock wall and other smaller borders the rocks were from here. For the gravel walkway, we started out using fabric and ran out..I accidentally bought a roll of plastic for the rest and that was a mistake! Next spring I plan to re-do the section with the plastic, as there is alot of grass growing through it. We have LOTS of plans, so already looking forward to next year!

As a new subscriber, not watching videos in order, I am a little confused. Are these ladies your mom and your husband's mom? Do they share a home? What about your dads? One of the ladies mentioned her husband, so does he live here too? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to catch up. I am very happy that, even though it was close, all of your homes were spared. How wonderful for them to come home and find out their neighbors had saved everything for them! That speaks to the wonderful neighbors, but also to how lovely the moms must be too. The gardens are lovely. I think the pink flowering plant may be a persicaria. Oh, they are both very talented. Their artwork is gorgeous! Thank you for sharing this with us.

Chelsea, this question isn't related to the current video, I was wondering if you were able to purchase Tattler lids in Canada, all my efforts to purchase on-line haven't been successful (at the checkout I'm informed they are not allowed to ship this item to Canada). I'm a recent subscriber and thrilled to find you're located in Northern BC! I am on Vancouver Island and our wet climate poses some real challenges to gardening here, but count my blessing 'cause as they say "you don't have to shovel rain". Enjoying your channel :) Valerie
