Thank you for keeping me company this morning! Just put frozen garden tomatoes in the roaster to prepare for canning pasta sauce😊. Hubby and I went to Meijer yesterday (thank you for alerting me to the $1 potatoes) and got some baking and other goodies. Got 2 .33 cent turkeys, hubby and I both have mPerks so we cheat😅. One for freezer and one for thawing. My mom’s baked Mac ‘n cheese is a Christmas Eve staple for us! Also bought $1 bags of fresh cranberries to make and can sauce.

Good idea. Make ahead dishes. I canned all the veggies we are using. I canned the pumpkin, cooked homemade cranberry sauce & canned that.

My Stuffing is ready to go too and in the freezer. I’m Canadian so our Thanksgiving is past this year, but our traditional Christmas dinner is a repeat. At 73 yrs old I’m making on dish a day to freeze for Christmas dinner. The stuffing is 1st in the freezer today the Sweet Potato casserole and tomorrow will be mashed potatoes. We don’t do Mac and cheese but I might have to reconsider that 😂. Happy Thanksgiving! I’ll be watching the MDParade and decorating our tree 🇨🇦🎄

I only buy organic as they cannot be GMO. Might cost a little more but you won't get the nutrition from GMO potatoes. I'm not saying your potatoes were, just saying it's a possibility. ❤

Hello Renea hope you and your family have a great Thanksgiving , I know you said you don't really like cranberry relish but have you ever tryed it with apple add to it ? ,the taste is not as tart and the apple just adds another taste layer to it . Hope one day you will try it.
@lisagrafton25294 күн бұрын
You should try adding strawberries or raspberries, to your cranberry sauce. Maybe you would like that a lot better! It cuts the bitter/tartness from the cranberries! My family loves the cranberry sauce in the can!! It's much sweeter and has a smooth texture. You could also use your emersion blender to blend the sauce smooth. Maybe it's a texture thing that you don't enjoy!
