Back in the day, when I was newly returned from Vietnam, I listened to this with horror. To me it was the theme song of the war. We soldiers were constantly being told that it was a new modern world and things were different. It still gives me that feeling I had, of hypocrisy, evil, and headlong helter-skelter fear and murder.
