2 cups almond milk, plant-based milk
1 cup raspberries
1 cup blueberries
1 cup avocado
1 cup arugula
1-inch turmeric
Pinch of black pepper
1 tbs ground flaxseed
*add a Fuji apple for a sweeter taste.

Hi Debbie, this is Barbara. I was diagnosed with fibroids in my 20s and 30s and no Dr ever told me this. I was a sugarholic and never related it to fibroids. I never had surgery to have them removed but i did have a hysterectomy later in life. I also had an excess of estrogen which contributed to breast cancer later in life. I am now plant based with no meat in my diet and i feel so much better! So you are on point and I can now pass this information on to other women in my family. Thanks so much for your knowledge!

Thanks I'm 42 and I just found out I have fibroids on my uterus last year and now that my family knows they are trying to get me to do surgery which I do not want, but I did research once I found out and I've changed my diet. I sent my family this video link to give them more information than me resulting to surgery. 🙏🏾🙌🏾💪🏾🤗💯😍❤😘❤🥰

You're are so right. I been have fibroids since I was 19th now I'm 52. I was going to get the surgery but something in my head told me no. So I stop eat processed food and up my vitamins. It's been working and this is coming from a person that would bleed for 2 to 3 weeks at a time. Thanks for passing this information because I wish I knew this when I was younger and I wouldn't have to go through the painful cycles for so many years. That been said YOU are 💯 percent correct‼️❤

You can ground the whole flaxseed before adding to smoothies, that's what I do.

Hi Debbie, I was diagnosed with fibroid from age of 17. Doctors told me I would never have children. I got married in my 20s and had 2 children but the fibroid worsened each time and eventually I had the womb removed. My daughter now has fibroid and doctors tell her the same thing. She is married and wants to have children. I never know what to tell her but thanks for your video I have told her to subscribe to your channel

I was hoping you said that. I've told many people the reason black women have higher rates of fibroids is because we are more Vitamin D deficient than any other ethnicity.

Hi. I am being strongly advised by my consultant to have a hysterectomy for my fibroids, and to stop using my HRT patches for menopausal symptoms. These have been a life saver for me. Also, even though I suggested a less invasive procedure for the fibroids, I was shut down completely. I do NOT want a hysterectomy as my fibroids do not bleed - they only cause discomfort in my back and slight abdomen ache. I repeat, I do NOT want a hysterectomy. Any suggestions please? Thank you.

Hi, you know the saying" follow your gut" I would suggest you try some natural ways to shrink and reverse this issue. The first part is your diet. If you start eating a healthy diet(mostly plant-based) this may improve the dynamics of your fibroids. I would love to talk to you more about this. Thanks so much for your reply. I am in the UK by the way. I'm going to start with this tasty looking smoothie, as I'm a smoothie fanatic😊. I will be using spinach for now as I believe arugula is known as rocket here in the UK, and I don't have any. Thanks again for your response to my query.

You mentioned avoiding spinach because of oxalates. Aren’t almonds, raspberries, turmeric and black pepper high in oxalates too?

Hi, great question. Oxalates naturally occur in many fruits, vegetables and nuts, however spinach is one of the highest oxalate foods with close to 700 mg a cup (raw). This is extremely high and that’s why I choose to avoid this in many of my smoothies. The other foods are around 55mg per cup❤️❤️

@@AskDebbieAboutHairreally we should not eat spinach. I have been eating it almost daily for my iron. I am so confused. I have been told to increase my greens, now I am hearing I should cut out spinach. I just want to give up! I am hearing so many conflicting information 😢😢😢
