If any of us old farts has even the slightest doubt about the future of the music, this set should set our minds at ease. Tatum is spectacular on the Lee Morgan's masterpiece, Ceora, Alexa and the rhythm section are killing throughout, and Jason is energizing! All of you have brightened my life! And have you been paying attention to what Jon Batiste does five nights a week on network TV? Bud, Monk, Bird, Chick, all the greats, are regularly heard.

It's not the mouthpiece as much as how she shapes her embrochure. I play a ceramic mouthpiece and have a much darker sound then she does :)

Fantastic Alexa. Emotional and powerful with great deep tone and you've listened to them all and absorbed it: Trane, Shorter, Cannonball, Stitt, Kirk, Parker, Dolphy and thank God for Emmets Place introducing me to these new stars. Loved it when you hit the wrong note and then repeated it more forcefully. 'Course that was deliberate playing outside. But next time I do that accidentally I'll try it. The trumpeter is pretty fine too. Come to UK soon guys!!
