The grips you have no gi are superb would love to see more of it you create such good control its often what is lost when transitioning from judo to other grappling sport like the tie you have from the sasae how you also use it to set up your sacrifice throw is just expert

This was amazing, high quality straight to the point videos thank you Travis. Which technique is most high precentage in no gi, low single or ankle pick?
@TravisStevensgrappling4 жыл бұрын
Neither, I would say a front head lock is the best! It's easy, low impact, safe, and requires no athletic ability!

IMO if mma fighters could get into this it could evolve the sport to another level
@TravisStevensgrappling4 жыл бұрын
Yes they could but I'm not so sure they really have the time. They have to learn a ton of sports all at once. it's not easy.

@TravisStevensgrappling4 жыл бұрын
Foot Sweeps mostly. But if you think of your over hook and under hook acting as your collar grip a lot will transfer.

Would like to see more footsweeps from clinch position like Islam makachaev great watch btw i think you'd appreciate his judo. Also what is your opinion on this situation if you are in a mma fight we are in kesagatame mma rules allow us to grab our own shorts why isn't this applied by anyone to control position for ground and pound?? Also if you find the time please do a wall/cage takedown video and I've always wondered if Kata ha jime could be done no gi modified like a rnc from seatbelt control? Thanks for the video Travis great watch best one so far for me!💯 wish I could of made live chat im from UK so sometimes miss them
@TravisStevensgrappling4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for all the support! I was not aware that you could grab your own shorts in MMA going to have to look into it. Maybe we should do a wall/cage wrestling live stream to help educate people on what to look for in MMA.

ah, judo guys, so unassuming, so infuriating, you think you might be onto something, slightly (for me) switch the weight, boom, I'm on the air, argh! LOL, sure go to a Judo tournament, if you think you are good at take downs, you gonna spend so much time in the air that you will be able to claim frequent flyer miles!
@kennethrogers11293 жыл бұрын
You guys look cute in your yoga pants, LOL .... so do you do martial arts grappling with self defense in mind, or just sport oriented? To me a lot of this grappling stuff is not too smart for self defense, especially multiple opponent, which is one of my main objectives in practice, application for multiple opponent real life self defense. To me this jujitsu stuff is fairly useless if not down right dangerous in self defense. Of course I’m a striker at heart and the last thing I want to do is spend any time at all on the ground, but I practice judo to prevent that , comprehensive martial arts.
